I am using Tata Docomo 3G on my Iphone 3GS and no such pop up comes up.
Any idea as to how to stop this pop message in an airtel sim?
Its worse when you have to 'dismiss' an alarm! You can't unless you press OK like a hundred times to clear these messages which seem to have accumulated through the night! Really annoying.

PS: I am on Android.

I agree, and not to mention, this leads to excessive battery consumption.

re: The iPhone Thread

Hi I was looking to buy the iphone 4 and found a couple of great deals on ebay india. Are these valid? Anything I should keep in mind while picking these up? Any chance of fraudulent pieces?

the 2nd one is definitely bought from the US. they're both unlocked. What does that mean exactly? Im sorry but i'm a complete newbie to all this.

Youre in GGN. Youd do better to head to gaffar to get these deals, and you can check out the phone hands on.

Thanks. I've never shopped from Gaffar. I was wondering if I can use them normally by locking them back and getting the APP for the phone.

Did not get this, "lock them back"?
Gaffar guys, if you want, can get you boxed factory unlocked IPs, with bills too. These will be about a month or two old.
Or, if you are comfortable with going the more used way, you can check out those as well.

Now Allle loses the name battle in Brazil http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/t...w/18488629.cms

I think Apple can buy them out for a zillion dollars, shut them down, and live happily ever after!

If you do not really need 32GB,Why not simply buy a new 8GB one for about 24.5K from the open market.

re: The iPhone Thread

My iPhone 4S is heating up and the battery is draining rapidly. The battery drain is so bad that it comes down by 10% or more in 20mins. It has become this worse after the recent upgrade to iOS 6.1.1. I have tried switching off the location services and BT and all the applications. Still it is bad. Anyone else is facing this issue and any solutions?

Should be a battery problem, get it checked at an authorized center. It has nothing to do with 6.1.1. This update is related to data problem, not battery.

I got this message sometime back, wondering whether this is just another broadcast or a smart one aimed at iPhone 4S users :-|

I also got the same one, but not sure which app it is taking about .

Crosschecked in App Store , but didn't see any updates as such .

Edit :- Just realized its on IOS update, and looks like only for 4s users .

re: The iPhone Thread

Yes this is an update for 4S since many had issue with data connectivity in 6.1.

This is due to a bug in mail app in version 6.1.1 Apple confirmed it. A patch is already in work. To solve this issue restore your iPhone with iTunes and set it as new iPhone. Don't restore backup on iPhone. Just reinstall apps from iTunes and do the settings. Battery would be back to normal. I faced this issue and the above eradicated the problem.

Cheers. !
