This is controlled by the network typically. If you swap your sim with a friends you may find it to work for you. Try to get a newer sim too.

I can explain these absurd numbers. What I observed with my 5 with iOS9 & now 9.0.1 is that the stand-by hours figure is not reset until the phone is charged till 100%. So if you keep using the phone with partial charges during the day (never till 100%), then this number will keep increasing. I'm sure if you did partial charging, but I observed the above with my phone.

One single charge. No partial charges.

These are just stupid numbers. I didn't use whatsapp in the iPhone while I was testing the standby with minimal usage. I bet with whatsapp, the battery won't have last this long.

Morning.

My iPhone 6 has iOS ver 9.0.1.
I have discovered that the screen transitions are abrupt.
If I click on gmail it is abrupt and the gmail screen is seen.
When I click on the What's App icon, the screen immediately becomes black, and then the screen with the chats is seen.
Also as I proceed to General> Software Update, it tries checking for an update but a pop up shows up saying 'Unable to Check for Update'; 'An error occurred while checking for a software update'.

What should I do?

You will need to fill APN settings depending on your service provider , I have personally done on my iPad with Voda Sim

I did the latest software update on my iPhone 6, and something very funny happened.

I could clear all notifications except one whatsapp message and one Fb message. Tried clearing these 2 notifications for 3 days. No luck.

Finally, switched off the phone and restarted after a minute. Everything is back to normal.

Did anyone experience this?

@happysmiles - I had similar problem on my 5s. I couldn't clear any notifications. They were persisting even after switching off and turning on again. With iOS 9.0.1, it was solved.

Apart from online offers, what is the latest pricing for iphone 6 (64GB) in normal shops? Say Reliance, Croma etc. Somehow not willing to buy it online!

Reliance and Croma are both pricing it at approx 56k INR. Id suggest going to local brick n mortar stores and picking up the phone. Warranty is valid as long as you have a proper bill, so no concerns

The 10% translates to 1500 INR, that the maximum discount applicable on one card as I understood from the T&C's. Never the less a good deal I would say.

My iPhone 5s after updating with ios9 and running fine for couple of days, started to restart again and again showing a blue screen. Restoring through itunes too failed giving error 9. Warranty was just got over week ago. Apple service center asked for 21k to replace the phone citing some hardcore fault. Local service guy is asking 12k for motherboard replacement but touch id function won't work. Istore refused to repair it. Stuck since remake value for an year old iPhone 5s is 15 to 20k.
. . Can anybody here help to get it back to life?
