Had similar issues on my iPad Air immediately after the update. It became snappier after a couple of hours.

Re: The iPhone Thread

So here's what Tim cook has to say about the iPhone X price : "Value pricing"

It's been such a big disappointment!

I think this is because of the new file system they have implemented in iOS 11. It might take some time to optimize.

Anything Apple introducing is the best thing, the next best thing, the game changer etc, etc. Guess what? Maybe in the past, it was true but now it is an evolution, not revolution. Hyperbole is essential for the blokes at Apple Inc to retain their jobs and keep the share prices high.

This new jive on pricing is a twist in the song & dance. If $999 or, in our Indian context a little over ₹100K, is value I dunno what a 'premium' offering would be. I shudder at the thought.

My IP7+ will do just fine for a couple of years more.

But the above could only be for beta OS11 users. Not sure if the OTA updated ios11 can go back.
Not just beta. All latest iOS versions can be rolled back to the previous public final version till Apple signs the previous ones which would be for a couple of weeks.

As of now Apple should be signing 10.3.3. So 11 can be downgraded to it. You'll need to download the 10.3.3 ipsw file though.

Cheers.

Re: The iPhone Thread

1. Battery is draining faster than before, even with Battery Save Mode ON. Draining battery even when it is plugged to my laptop.

2. Love the User Interface.

3. Applications work perfect. Not buggy, not slow.

4. Eagerly waiting for the next version which sorts out the battery drain issue

Type: iPhone 5S
iOS: 11

Battery drain seems an issue with IOS 11, though I am happy that it is extremely snappy and quick.

The HDFC discount is capped at INR 1500 per transaction and the listed price is 39k so final price will be 37.5k

Re: The iPhone Thread

Snagged an SE at 17999/-, prices seem to have gone up by a thousand.
Not the best phone on paper for the money, but one that meets requirements.

Bold text is indeed turned off, still I find the various menu titles overly sized than needed. For example, the recent calls menu, messages menu and so on. This with no bold option selected and the font size set to the smallest

All of a sudden iPhone looks like a Windows phone

Still exploring the iOS though.

you sir have nailed it. Anyone facing any charging delays. Colleagues are complaining of increased charging time on 6 and 6s specifically from 0-20% and also overall time to charge. For reference if it was charging from say ~5% to 100% in 1hour 20minutes it is now taking upwards of 2hours for the same duration. I have held off from updating just yet owing to all the battery drain and these charging delays that were reported.

The iPhone Thread

Everyone facing issues with iOS 11, im sure you updated via OTA. Perform a clean restore using itunes, and then restore from your backup ( create a manual backup prior to restoring). Im sure it will make a difference. This works for all major iOS upgrades.

Use an ipad charger, or get an 3rd party 2A charger from a reputed brand. I use the Anker PowerIQ charger. It has reduced my charge time significantly

Do a restore instead of update, things are fine. Battery back up also I can't find major change. Edit: iPhone 7 max 5% difference.

Re: The iPhone Thread

The network strength icon is just so regular. I loved it when it was in circular dots. text is too bold and the upper area of the screen takes too much useless space.

I had huge battery drain issues with airtel, Jio has solved it for good. [ported the number]
