Not sure if this is what you are looking for. Try this app called " Data Sense"
It should be available on your Windows 8 phone store.

Isn't data dense built into every Windows Phone?

You can use Data Sense built into any Windows Phone 8. It will give detailed application wise data usage for all data connections that the phone uses.

Re: The Windows Phone Thread

My 520 fell down and has a cracked glass. Now it does boot fine but does not respond to any touch on the screen - effectively useless. Saw that screen +digitizer is available online for about 1.3k.. Any one know if these are good and if it works well?

Meanwhile I got a Lumia 630 as I was feeling that the 520 has slowed down quite a bit after the windows 8.1 update.

As of now it's only available for Lumia 625 and 925. My wife's 925 got the update but not much new as she was already on the 8.1 Dev Preview.

Yeah my 925 got the update last night, since I was on 8.1 Dev preview do not see much change, but someone moving up from WP 8 will see a lot of changes.

Re: The Windows Phone Thread

So is someone else also facing trouble with your Lumia not able to latch on to signal when it is weak?
In the sense that weak signal quite often become zero. The phone shows zero signal symbol. Even though the signal comes back (verified by going to settings->mobile network) the phone doesn't connect to the signal available.

Will post again with screenshots.
The customer care is absolutely clueless and the usual blame game on the SIM carries on.
(By the way the sim is brand new Idea microsim, not chopped)
The problem is encountered on my phone as well as my wife's.

This happens every single time I travel ! It is annoying that you wake up at your destination and then have to search manually and lock onto the Service provider. By that time, my parents would already be worried about my whereabouts as they keep getting the Switched off automated message!

However this is observed only in my Lumia 820, my mom's 520, sis's 720 all seem to function fine.

Re: The Windows Phone Thread

Even manual lock doesn't work in my case.
See the pix attached.

Two cases:
(A) automatic selection of network (sub cases 3G and 2G)
(B) manual selection of IDEA network (sub cases 3G and 2G)

As you can see the phone detects the presence of multitude of network ALL the time but still cannot connect!!!

This cannot be SIM problem - otherwise the phone shouldn't be able to detect any network. IT has to be Lumia's problem.
The problem is resolved ONLY if I restart the phone by either long press of power button, OR volume down + power button.

Re: The Windows Phone Thread

Planned to buy Moto x and brought a 925 instead. In one word this is brilliant. Got the phone today evening with WP8 but after I came home I got the 8.1 update. Killer stuff this version has got. Since I am a previous Lumia user I haven't seen any limitations or I think they don't seem to bother me Since I cant get wifi access till tomorrow there are some updates pending.

Re: The Windows Phone Thread

How has the battery life changed since the Cyan update from Dev Preview?

My L720 gave me 41 hours once when I did a hard reset of the phone. That has deteriorated over time and now only gives me around a day's worth of battery life.

I am surprised as my Lumia 630 already has the Cyan update (8.1)!

The battery of my 925 runs down like crazy after the update. What is surprising is that internet explorer seems to be taking all the power. Without browsing, the battery level drops very slowly with whatsapp, media etc. Once I use the browser it starts dropping down like crazy. Hope they fix this issue for otherwise an amazing phone.

I tried out the camera to see if the pureview really was worth the hype and got this at 10PM:
