re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

Folks,

I have ordered Moto G (gen 2) from flipkart Today. Here are the details
Listed price: 12,999/-
buyback for my existing HTC Desire V (3,000/-)
Discount on Standard Chart. Card (10%)
Net I paid 9,044/- effectively. I guess a fair deal in the end!

Flipkart also reduced Moto X (gen 2) price by 2K and offering additional buyback upto 6,000/- as well.

re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

I am planning to buy a Asus ZenFone5, and it appears there are multiple models with the same name! On infibeam I see two models listed for different prices - ZenFone 5 (A501CG) - 10,499/- and ZenFone 5 (A502CG) - 8,849/-.

I went through the Asus website but couldn't get the difference between the two. I am guessing that A501CG comes with 8GB internal memory, whereas A502CG does not come with any internal memory. Does anybody have any information to confirm this? Any review of any of these two will be appreciated. Thanks!

Found the answer. A502CG runs on 1.2GHz Intel Atom processor with 1 GB RAM, while A501CG runs on 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor with 2 GB RAM.

If I remember correctly, zenfone is exclusively sold in India via flipkart. If you buy from infibeam it may not carry asus India warranty.

re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

Folks/ Gurus,

One quick question to all the people who are using Microsoft Lumia 535/X2/X.

Is 'Good for enterprise' App supported in these devices ?
If yes, I would go and buy this tomorrow. I tried downloading it in the shop from X2 device. Couldn't do it for almost 15 mins of search in the Store.

Else, pls suggest which of the Lumia - Windows/ X platform devices supports this software/app.

This is the deciding factor as I need to check my office mails.

Thanks in advance.

According to the official supported document list, its not supported. I see the 620 supported though along with a bunch of other Lumias.

No, infact Asus dealers also sell the phone however it is not being marketed that ways. That's the feedback from a friend who owns a dealership in Delhi.

Thank you Akshay. So my interpretation was correct from the Site.
However, if some one who has the set double checks, it would be of great help.

Thanks in advance.

re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

Guys,

I just broke my S3 and now looking to buy a new phone. Budget 25/30K.

Things looking for:
1. Great Camera both front and back.
2. Good Battery life.
3. Atleast 16GB storage and minimum 1GB RAM (the more the better)
4. Looks. (Smart looking phone).

Any suggestions guys? Need to buy ASAP.

Thanks in advance.

Sir jee,

Congratulations on disposing off your S3!! Did your S3 lag? If yes, buy a phone with 2GB RAM if not 3GB. Fairly good camera can be OPO or MotoX2. Great camera can be HTC Mini E7 but that's a dated phone

yup finally S3 is dead. Yes it used to lag sometimes but then i got used to it ( as if i had a choice).

Anyways i just came to know Samsung have launched A series with metal body. Was looking at the features of A5, seems better than S3 for sure. What say?

Also, since my S3 touch screen is not working but phone itself is fine, i mean i can see calls/sms/whatsapp messages coming in, do you think i cant get something in exchange for it?

I will suggest to go from -
1) HTC E8 (Good looks + Excellent Battery + Good Camera)
2) LG G2 (Good looks + Excellent Battery + Good Camera)
3) Moto X2 (Good looks + Decent Battery + Good Camera)
4) OPO (Good looks + Excellent Battery + Average Camera)

E8 is coming around 35K so its out of budget. Hows Desire 820? Looks good in terms of specs.

E8 must be in the budget. it was 31k few months back. It's 31.5k on Amazon, Ebay and Indiatimes. You may use coupon on ebay to get it around 30k.

Upgrade from Moto G to Galaxy S3 Neo?

Hi folks,

Just saw flipkart is selling the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo @ 12,499 with 10% Cash back on HDFC Cards. Comes to 11.2k nett.

Getting tempted to replace my 1st gen Moto G with this

Quad Core 1.2 ghz > Quad Core 1.4 ghz
1 GB Ram > 1.5 GB
4.5" IPS > 4.8" Super AMOLED

Plus its lighter and slimmer too.

One concern though is the missing Gorilla Glass. How big a deal is this?

Prepared this comparo in excel. Also threw in the Moto G 2nd gen for a clearer picture.

Is this a good upgrade? Please share your suggestions / feedback.
