My family is fully connected on the Whatsapp network.

For myself, I could not resist the good offer on Moto G 8GB.
10.5 k and a 10% cash back from SBIcards.

I too had lost my Nexus 4 while trying to get in a local train at Thane Railway station on 6th June. I lodged a complaint with the Thane GRP and was given an FIR. They told me to wait for a month and if I didn't hear from them then I need to visit them and check on the status.

I waited a month patiently to hear from them. Then after 6th July I started searching of a worthy replacement. On 13th July I got a call from the cops asking me to visit them immediately as they found my mobile.

I was not that enthusiastic as I was almost going to buy a Nexus 5.
Now started the real pain of getting my phone back from them. It took numerous visits to the Kalyan Railway Court almost 2 weeks.

Exactly after loosing my phone on 6th June I got it back on 5th August.

Thanks to Thane GRP.

re: The Mobile Phone Thread - Queries, decisions, discussions all here

Any one facing issues with blue tooth connectivity on their Nexus 4? I am on Droid 4.4.4 but unable to connect to my blue tooth speaker. It just doesn't show up on the devices list.

I'm able to connect and play music through a different phone though. So speaker problem is ruled out.

Any clues what's is wrong?

This is great!

I am quite surprised though. Why did the person who found it return it to the cops? Maybe he was a good Samaritan?
Did you use any phone lock(Pin/ Pattern/ etc.) which rendered the phone useless for anyone who found it?

Actually my phone was stolen while I was trying to board the local train at peak time. It was picked from my jeans pocket and I didn't have any sensation when that was happening.

The FIR has the name and address of the thief mentioned. Apparently the thief gets out of their custody sooner by paying bail and again to his business as usual. Whereas people like us whose phone's get stolen have to do the rounds of the court and police station. And believe me you don't want to visit these places very often.

I had heard about xiomi mi3 getting sold out on flipkart in less than a minute and folks venting out their frustration on twitter. Had first hand experience today when I witnessed 20,000 phones getting sold out in 2 minutes. That is 10,000 phones per minute. What gives? Is the phone really that good in real world performance? Any users who can share their experience..

Read the last few pages of the Android Thread, members who own the Mi3 have posted stuff about it.

Yes it is a good phone. I think the 2 minutes which you have stated is way more than the actual figure of a couple of seconds. After the sale begins, the phone vanishes like the sale just wasn't there.

Hi Guys, need suggestions for a second phone. My requirements are:-
- Large screen (min 5.5") with at least 720p resolution
- Dual Sim
- Preferably 2GB RAM
- Android or Windows OS, doesn't matter
- Good camera
- Usage mostly browsing and reading books, occasionally playing games but nothing too fancy
- Budget max 15K

Don't tell me Redmi Note 'cause I'm sick waiting for it. Anything else I should look at?

Thanks

hey guys, I have used my note 2 for about 2 years now. I m a heavy user and have charged the battery at least 2 times daily in these 2 years.

since last few weeks I've been noticing that with the same usage now the battery lasts a lot less than before.

how many charge cycles capacity does the note 2 battery have ? is it time for me to get a new battery ?!?

thanks

Xolo Q300 is what I bought, it is decent enough for your requirements.
It does have a 4000 mAh battery.

Which Android version are you running on your Note2 and which version was it when you used to get better battery life? Also have you started using any battery hogger app like Whatsapp recently?

Samsung phones come with bloatware, don't expect them to have zero lag, if you can increase your budget by another 1k Moto E fits all your requirement as mentioned above.

Xolo Q3000 meets all your requirements and exceeds on some (has Full HD screen)!

Have been using it since January this year.
Also, per Xolo, this phone will be getting KITKAT upgrade.

My Lenovo P780 is not behaving like it used to after the latest kitkat update (from last month). The lag with the new UI is imminent and the bad part is the battery life has come down :(

People who have not upgraded, suggest you to stick to the 4.2 version.
