Finally updated my Note n7000 to JB 4.1.2

Though i could not update it via Kies or OTA, Every time i tried updating it, i got a message saying your phone has the latest firmware.

Finally downloaded the firmware and updated it via Odin.

This is quite a major update, and the phone too seems much more better to use.
The battery though lasted just a day. Will try to do a complete battery cycle charge and let you all know.

But if delete a song from PC playlist it removes the same from the android device.

iSyncr app works almost like iTunes but the lite version supports syncing only 20 songs at a time.

Any suggestions ?

Bottom line - No music sync software can match the versatility of iTunes !! hats off apple !!!
Buy the isyncr. Well worth it.

Will this sync music through USB too? Much faster as opposed to syncing through the cloud.

My bad, it is available only in the US. What it does is upload your entire music library to Google servers and then you can listen to your music either on Web or any device. You can also choose to download the music files to the device for offline use.

Here's a video about it -

This fact i knows, but when you said that, i thought i supports USB sync too ! :( <gave me hope> !!!

Also, in US all can enjoy the 'play from cloud' feature since the data conenctivity is never limited, but in india it's a luxury... need no mention that we pay for each MB used !!!!!

Err.. I'm not quite sure what you are telling me there! Anyway, since your phone has UAE CSC, you have got the latest JB UAE ROM.

It does not matter where you are when you perform the update.

PS: Anyway for flashing a stock ROM, your phone need not be rooted. Any Samsung stock ROM can be flashed via PC Odin.

How's it even possible to rack up 4760 downloads within hours of being launched?

Quite stupid of Google to make this app only for ICS onwards btw

Jellybean 4.12 for Note available through Kies

I was able to upgrade to JB 4.12 for the Note on Wed 20th Mar via Kies.

Its been running now for more than a day, battery consumption looks quite stable and similar to the previous ICS 4.04.

Feature wise, it looks a lot more convenient with the multi window support and more options like Mobile data, Blocking Mode and settings option in the pulldown menu and its a lot more smoother.

For me the killer feature of Evernote is the ability to search inside pictures. Anybody knows if Keep has this ability? Evernote seems really bloated when compared to Keep's 1.5 MB size!

Anybody who has updated Whatsapp to the latest version noticed that it has become considerably sluggish? Or is it just my phone? Asked couple friends but they no... but they have high end quad cores, so maybe thats why they haven't noticed.

Or you are hinting that there are some phones out there which can better the Defy? If the latter, I'll be interested to hear the names!
What do you think about the Sony Xperia Z - It appeals to me because of its robust nature.

In fact, I'd like any waterproof phone.

I had opened the defy the other day to see a nice rubber 'o' ring sitting between the top and bottom layers
