Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Quick question: Which application do you guys use for screen notifications in Android after the screen timeout? In my case the screen doesn't wake up on receiving email or SMS etc. and I need to check for them manually repeatedly.

Thanks for your help

The little flashing LED is enough for me, especially as the colour is configurable.

I doubt it.

4.4.3 is released mainly to fix the many Kitkat bugs.

Oh, it seems to have been removed from play store. I've been restoring via TB for the past few years so didn't realize.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Got a Sense 6 etc upgrade on my htc One. Over 900MB. No signs of 4.4.3 yet! Seems smoother, but all ringtones were replaced by a new set. Now will have to get used to them.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Got the message for update to 4.4.3 on my Nexus 5. Total file size is around 94 mb. Download in progress. Are there any major changes expected? I am not really happy with the battery life of the phone. With moderate usage it ends up in red towards the end of the day. Hopefully with the update the battery might show better performance.

I haven't received it for my Nexus5, should be by end of the week. Let us know if there are any improvements. Everyone has the same issues I guess.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

For Motorola phones, the 4.4.3 fixes the root exploit that was discovered some time ago.

Besides the new dialer interface, there are small changes here and there.

Unless you are interested in rooting, it is a nobrainer to take the update ...and the next one.. and...

The main changes I could notice in 4.4.3 are in the dialer which looks pretty cool and refreshingly young now. Waiting to see if there has been any improvement in the battery life.
