the best part is it is not crowded as the cunningham road service center
BB site needs updating. I'm assuming that this change is recent, must be why they see less customers.

Just the other day Reliance started deducting from my balance again. This after a gap of over a year since last time I created quite a fiasco. Today they again reversed it. Lets see when the dacoits strike again.
Obviously I didn't buy that. I quick search on Google showed there are too many people who are using this issue. And it happens only with the BB plans I guess. I think I've lost close to 400 bucks in this.

But anyways this might be my last week on BB

Few users have tried downloading the app from blackberry appworld on their pc and updated the device via Desktop manager which seems to have resolved the issue.Looks like its a known issue these days.

There is this online link to reset BB App world password as well

https://blackberryid.blackberry.com/...coverpassword/
I tired above. Its still not working. I basically cannot enter into App World as it gives me the error " Unable to Log you in"

Is there a way to create a brand new Blackberry ID & Password on the same phone?

MOds, Could you please delete the original post quoted with the Barcode to the bb group. we are getting too many non members and random people in the group apart from members.

Thank you.

If it was deleted then how would other legit members join up?

Maybe the best would be to have the code viewable only when one logs in to the site. That would serve the purpose both ways.

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

Happy Diwali BHPians,
The latest news from Blackberry stable is that the Blackberry 10 launch date is decided as 30th January 2013. Looking forward to some great devices from RIM. Anyone planning to upgrade their devices? I suggest you wait. Let's see what Blackberry has in store for us.

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

Hi, i need some urgent help here. I am using a BB 8520 with the airtel 399 BIS plan. Since yesterday, my email, apps, BBM and opera browser is not working. I can surf the net from the stock browser and also whatsapp is working fine. Can you guys tell me what is the issue. It seems that the internet is working. I tried the battery pull trick and also re-registering the device. Still no luck. Please help !

Take a back-up using BDM and wipe the device clean and iam sure this issue should be resolved.

However, note when you backing up to desktop manager, vidoes and images do not get copied ( I realized this after i lost all of them) so you manually copy the images/videos from your memorycard/device memory to your hard drive.

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

Guys, Need a suggestion. Which is a good GPS app for BB, I have a torch 2 and somehow found WAZE not that accurate and is it true that WAZE has stopped developing the app for BB and focusing on Andriod and apple? downloaded google maps but after 15-25 secs the screen goes blank as in sleep mode, it does not stay on like waze or any other GPS device.

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

I tried upgrading to v7.1.0.694 from here however even after the install, the OS is v7.0.0.557 on the device. Vendor file was removed before install. The setup process didnt stop anywhere either. Any help?

To avoid the backlight going off, download a multipurpose app from here
Once installed, check out the option of "O/s utilities> backlight option. Enable backlight option in all menu. So when you open the maps, choose "enable backlight" and the screen will stay ON. Hope this helps.

Re: Blackberry Phones and Services in India

Updated my BB torch 9810 to the latest software OS 7.1.0.746.

Now everything seems to be working fine but the only issue is i can't see the emails i am recieving. i can hear the notification and also see the icon on home screen of a new mail but its not showing under the mails.

Any idea how this can be resolved?

Edit- Solved the problem. Thanks.

I am presuming you have a 9360.
Download the version .746 from here instead. It is newer than the .694 you have downloaded:
http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...rriers-752188/

Next follow the instructions as per here:
http://www.wikihow.com/Install/Upgra...erating-System
Pay special attention to "Step 11". That will un-hide the second vendor file and tell you where it is located. Delete that one as well (making two vendor files deleted)

I also downloaded BBSAK and wiped the device before loading the new software. Follow the Wiki instructions. For me, they are the best and most clear instructions I could find.

Good Luck
