Has anyone seen / tested Ainovo NOVO7 tablet?

Seems like a good work horse for 10k. Has 3G and also Android 4.0.

The hardware seems to be O_o.never heard of the processor or the gpu/

If you're willing to sacrifice on the camera the kindle fire is a better choice around that price

not sure if you have read about the issues/limitations with Kindle. I would suggest you try the other tab mentioned.

Re: The Quintessential Tablet PC Thread (Android, Apple, BB et al)

i bought a viewsonic viewpad 10s from singapore. it had the 2.2 froyo OS, rooted it and installed android honeycomb 3.2 (the kernel of the samsung Gtab is 3.1). this 3.2 is presently OE in Asus Transformer only as far as i know. see attached pic on present condition.
BTW, honeycomb rocks and to be frank, my tab is equal to my laptop - in browsing, fb, email etc.,.All features are working in the rooted OS and even GPS and 3G works at amazing speeds. the best part is the HDMI clarity of the screen.
Cheers. Happy New Year Wishes to all.

Re: The Quintessential Tablet PC Thread (Android, Apple, BB et al)

Need to grab a Tablet PC very soon,
Might be buying 2 of them

primary requirement is Browser + a few Android Apps, not resource hogs.
Secondary requirement but not necessary is Games & Videos

HTC Flyer is now available @ Rs.23990 and getting Rs.1000 discount from Letsbuy is getting very tempting.

Can anyone please comment on HTC Flyer.

One good reason I am after flyer is its heavy duty Battery and available ROM's on XDA.

you can consider samsung galaxy tab 7.0 too. must be in same price range. it is much better than flyer and xoom. its light weight, fast, efficient, long battery life.

i have used flyer and it is very chunky and heavy to use and gets uncomfortable after some time . Speakers are very bad compared to 7.0.

samsung 7.0 does it better at same or slightly higher price.

The tab 7.0, though pretty good,is ancient. it doesn't even come with a tablet OS (AKA honeycomb)

If samsung is what you want to go for the new 8.9 and 10.1 are MUCH MUCH better

isn't 7.0 plus launched there already? it has honeycomb and is same as 8.9 and 10.1.

if its the old version, i would for sure skip it. but then even xoom and flyer are outdated since their second versions are already launched or on the way.

Saw this news, I have never understood the idea of a tablet! However, I have a 6 year old laptop and was considering changing it. I use it primarly for browsing and skype. Now with such low price, is it good to buy one of these Playbooks for my need?

Yep! It's on the entire range. I picked up a 16 gig Playbook yesterday via Flipkart. Seems to be out of stock at this point of time :(
