A friend had a chat with someone on this number. This looks like a marketing gimmick with a lot of terms and conditions. Also, model on discount is a 2018 Comfortline (that's what they are pushing for). Details on Highline given only when asked more than once.

I bet there are other consultants and website that offer more discount on this, not on just the Passat but many other cheaper or more expensive models without so many terms and conditions.

This is by no means a fire sale.

Looks like Skoda is going for a hike across their range soon. Got a message today from the local dealer here in Hyderabad about discounts upto 3L on selected models. Not sure if it's just a push to sell off the unsold 2018 inventory.

Anyone has any idea on the discounts on for the WRV diesel and S-Cross diesels ?

The Honda guys are offering only the free insurance (1st year) and nothing else. Have not yet checked with Maruti.

I had heard of discounts upto 1.2L plus for the Octavia range. 3L is too good to resist even if its for 2018 make. I will grab if i get one.

Knowing Hyundai and the new launch, tough chance! But if the dealership has MY2018 Santro AMT in stock, you might be on luck. Compare that with Grand i10 offers (about 70k for Sportz Dual tone variants), and see if it makes sense to pick a Grand i10 instead.

I haven't read any news but don't want to be victim if it does happen. That's why I was keen to close the deal in March itself

Guys, the auto industry is going through a very sluggish period & dealer inventories are also sky high. Some of these "price hike coming" announcements might just be gimmicks to clear up existing stock. On a related note, be sure to bargain hard. No better time to get discounts.
