I like its ride ,engine refinement and handling the best.
I dream it to be produced with all latest gizmos viz blue and me, ACC, and safety features like ABS, Airbags.

My vote goes to Maruti Suzuki Zen. In my opinion its one of the best hatches made till date in India. The jelly bean design looks modern till date and driving it is a pleasure.

Maruti could perhaps relaunch it with the 1.0 or even the 1.2 litre K series with modern interiors and that would make one hell of a hot hatch.

My vote goes to the old Honda City. In fact I don't like any of the bloated sedans on offer these days. I'd much rather buy a Hyundai Accent than a Verna, but that's just me.

Maruti Zen for sure with all the modern features and a stronger body shell and a bigger 1.2 engine. That car had one of the best chassis designs of any hatchback.

Maruti's Esteem Diesel, because of the appearance, VFM (but would prefer a Di engine in it), and low maintenance costs.

Maruti's pre-international Zen Diesel, because of low maintenance costs.

Toyota Avalon 2000 because of the appearance and size (present day Avalon is smaller).

My choice would be Honda City Type II (2000-2003), Sierra (Turbo) and the jellybean Zen.

Sierra and Gypsy were my childhood dream cars, with the Sierra slowly taking over from Gypsy till the OHC type 2 got launched. When I got into college, OHC was my dream car to buy with my own money. By the time I got out of college, all these cars were out of production, only to be replaced by some ugly successors!

If Ford would launch the '67 Mustang in India now, everything else just goes out of the window.

Absolutely! compact, good handling, nice looks. The limited edition 2-door looks best.

I am also a fan of the old Mini. It was truly a peoples car, came in different guises: standard, sporty, estate, and even the bare-bones Moke. Sold in the millions.

It is still one of the most beautiful cars ever made, and the Jaguar is probably the pre-cursor to all relatively affordable sports car like performance production cars.

Because when these two cars have existed, very few cars can be given the moniker "drivers cars". Sort of like when Senna has graced the drivers podium all other drivers can only be called one of the greats. Never the greatest.
