re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2017. EDIT: It's the Jeep Compass

When I read the title, the first 2 cars that came to my mind is Compass and Nexon cause of the excitement it created waiting for the launch and post-launch. Compass retained most of the excitement post-launch and with Nexon, little bit disappointed cause of its highway performance.

Voted for Compass.

After going through the list another Car that was exciting for me was V90 Cross country.

Voted for the Compass. I did not have any doubts regarding this. The Compass is one all-rounded product and at a price that makes for the icing on the cake.

Just hope Fiat improves their dealership network really soon.

re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2017. EDIT: It's the Jeep Compass

When I saw the PM from GTO, the Octavia vRS was the first car that came to my mind, followed by the Jeep Compass.
It’s sad to see the explosive sedan not feature in the list for COTY.
Nevertheless, my vote goes to the Jeep Compass, as it singlehandedly ticks all the requirements of the customer, providing SUV like ground clearance, sedan like handling & tank like build quality. The icing on the cake is the 2.0L Multijet II, as it offers the best of both worlds, performance & fuel economy.
The only chink in the armour is the FCA’s A.S.S network, but I’m pretty sure it’ll be up to the mark in a couple lf years.
Looking at the poll, it’ll now be a fight between the Jeep Compass, the Tata Nexon & the Tata Hexa to win the Team-BHP COTY.

P.S - I secretly feel proud to see both the cars from Tata Motors getting more votes than their competitors.

re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2017. EDIT: It's the Jeep Compass

Voted for Hexa.

From all the cars, I believe Hexa has done the maximum for a manufacturer's brand image vis-a-vis any other car in the list. Does it get TM's image into the realm of mainstream car buyer? Maybe not yet. However, it sure is swinging a lot of customers into taking a look at it. I believe Nexon and Tiago have had a rub off effect due to Hexa.

I was torn between the Volvos and Hexa but Volvos are too niche for larger automotive space.

Edit: Why is the vRS not in the list??? :(

Voted for NEXON knowing very well that Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2017 would be undoubtedly JEEP COMPASS. But, I was really surprised to see TATA HEXA also up there in the top 3.

re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2017. EDIT: It's the Jeep Compass

Voted for Dzire - Maruti had a winner in the last generation Dzire (albeit an ugly one).

Now they have taken it a step further, made it better looking one (ignoring the chrome moustache) and thrown every competition out in this category.

This is a case of great product strategy and hence gets my vote.

Voted for Hexa as TATA had seriously done lot of ground work before giving this product to india. This car always excites me whenever i look at it. This will be my next car if i need 7 seater.

Voted for the HEXA. I have a soft corner for TATA, HEXA has unfortunately a baggage of the ARIA attached to it, along with the TATA’S name. If this had been a MARUTI vehicle, probably it would have been running off the shelf, IMHO. It has everything going for it otherwise.

The Jeep Compass no doubt. Tata may have made great strides in its offerings, but Compass was truly the disruptive product which shocked everyone with its value proposition

My vote is the Hexa. It represents a change for Tata's image , quality build, great pricing and decent performance. It set the path for a more favourable image for the brand before the Nexon launch. The car for the Indian family in my opinion.

Voted for Nexon.

On a side note, its rare (but feel good) to see 3 great cars from Tata in this list and 2 of them in the Top 3 list in COTY poll.

re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2017. EDIT: It's the Jeep Compass

It was a close call between the two Tata cars, but went for the Nexon because it is a looker, has the SUV credentials and the ride and handling is sorted. This is a car I hopefully wish to buy in the future. The Tigor loses out marginally because it did not create that "Wow" factor on its segment

Voted for the HEXA. I believe that the HEXA offers a complete package with a reasonable price. The best in class suspension with an dynamic autobox coupled with that powerful engine along with a proper, well engineered music system makes it a no-brainer in it's segment.

re: Team-BHP Car of the Year, 2017. EDIT: It's the Jeep Compass

I had to buy a Creta because the diesel automatic wasn't available at launch, but Compass all the way, baby!

The Hexa, Nexon and Tigor are huge strides forward for Tata, but Mopar's entry to the Indian mainstream is a big deal.
