First of all, Thanks. Looks like a Digital/Analogue combination. Is this is the first for a vehicle (possibly under 20 L)?


What hurts my logic is the placement of the front and rear fog light switches on the dashboard beneath the infotainment display! Why? what is the very logic behind it?

Nice pics. Interesting to see that the Multi information display is merged with the left dial and has a virtual tacho. This colour display should be configurable to show many things. The new Nissan kicks also will possibly have a similar setup when it gets launched.

It's just the angle of view - a combination of the position of the vehicles, the height and the angle.

What was your expectation? Fog lamps are rarely part of the stalks (leaving room for my ignorance) . Most cars I have seen have them on the right side on the dash and here we're seeing them in the center. I don't think it makes a lot of difference.

Probably for the European models, these are on the right side, but Maurti & Toyota have these on the stalks itself.

Meanwhile, the Harrier continues testing and was spotted in Pune yet again and this time shows the DRLs doubling up as the turn indicators as well.

I'm with you on this one. Willing to bet this is the larger h7x. The rear section, b/w c and d pillars is much larger if you look closely. In fact, large enough to accommodate the third row.

Yes, its a test car and probably been heavily and roughly used. But still doesn't bode well for the quality of the interior materials and paint etc. Hopefully, TATA will pay attention to the problem.

May not be, because both DRLS appear yellow and the scooter beside the Harrier seems to have a yellow headlight in this specific picture. Looks more like an attempt to manufacture "news".

There haven't been quality issues since the Zest days, so these comments based on grainy pictures of a pre-production test mule are fairly pointless and display bias.

Everyone knows that the materials used in these cannot be taken as a reflection of final product quality, so I suggest we reserve comment on quality, prices, and final specs until launch reviews are out.

No those are DRLs that double up as indicators. This has been confirmed by GTO's message and BHPian pjbiju who posted as below :

Either on the right side of the steering column or on the indicator stalk is logically where I would expect. In the center console everything related to infotainment or HVAC controls are to be placed.

It makes a difference if its on the center console because the possibility of passengers fiddling with it is high than when its on the driver's side. Also, placing all switches all over the car does not call for a good design language. Headlight switch on the right/left stalk or rotary switch along with all light related controls in one place makes it a more ergnomical design. I think some other manufacturers also do the same and even safari had it in the middle console? But that does not make it right logically.
