Booked a Maruti Ciaz MT Zeta. Huge discounts on the pre-facelift model. Almost Rs 1.4 lakh through cash discounts, exchange bonus, corporate bonus, etc. OTR is roughly Rs 8.85 lakh. The upcoming facelift started looking a bit ugly the moment I heard that price.

This one is for Petrol. OTR is approx 10.20 lakh. Reduces to roughly Rs 8.85 lakh after all sorts of discounts. You can get in touch with Rohan Motors, Sarita Vihar. As per them, only 119 Ciaz cars were left in NCR as of 9 PM, last night. Out of these, less than half were petrol. Hence, you might want to hurry up a bit.

Got a call from nexa informing that the car might be launched by month-end (guessing August 1st week) and though there was no mention of price or features, he confirmed that no change to automatic, I guess we almost knew anyway

Will this sell more? Well, the market is shifting towards petrol and this engine surely will help it defend the sales figures with the city and Yaris

As per the report, Maruti Suzuki India will not launch a diesel engine variant of Ciaz facelift. Yes. Only a petrol engine will be offered at launch. The company has already started production of the car at their plant. Dealers will start getting the new Ciaz in the coming days. Some dealers have already started accepting bookings.

The decision for not offering diesel could be because of two reasons. One – to draw full focus on their newly engineered and developed 1.5 liter petrol engine. This is the first time this particular petrol engine is being launched. Second – demand for diesel cars engines in cars is on a decline.

^ My guess is Hyundai's biggest launch of this season, the Santro might take the thunder from Ciaz facelift. I know both cars are in a different league, but marketing relies a lot on what is fresh on people's mind !

I may be completely wrong though

Service advisers are getting trained at Regional offices. There will be only K15 petrol engine. All new 6 speed manual transmission will make it's debut in Ciaz.

The headlight seems to be a bi-xenon unit. Indicator is moved towards the grill from the outer side which was seen in the previous generation ciaz.

Maruti has moved all its car to LED. Most likely ciaz will get the led treatment. Swift, baleno, Dzire, ignis and now even brezza get led. So ciaz should be the same.
