I saw a silver Logan today for the 1st time. And I didn't find it so ugly as pointed out on this thread!
Yes, the rear looks very boxy but overall it looks quite ok!
And it has got loads of space inside, a boon for big families!

I was on a HOLY TRIP this weekend and got myself clicked in one! somehow I didn't find the front seats too spacious...the interiors are better than the esteem (lets take it as LOGAN's competitor)

Quite funny isnt it - just seen 2 logans in Delhi - seen more than 20 SX4s - wasn't the logan to be the common man's sedan - my guess is it will succeed only if they pitch it against the esteem
just too unexciting a car - to look at

Renault might get far more popular when they make/assemble this at their Chennai plant and launch it in India in 2009.

Renault Megane III Sedan (2008)

lol..I love my avatar pic. I like the idea behind French cars. Somehow find them attractive. They seem so understated, yet individualistic and full of quirks, hopefully Renault will manage to make better transmissions with Nissan's help.

Man the Logan is really bad to drive, look at and even sit in!. The interior looks like it was built with Lego bricks by an 8 year old, the Long wheel base looks quirky and the interior ergonomics are terrible! The car looks down right ugly. This car would work in a bangladesh, or africa. But not in India for sure. We want sophistication and style over a bread box. I'd be happier in a Top end U-va or Swift!

Nope. Except perhaps ex-French colonies like Cameroon (?), Algeria or Morocco.

I doubt that too - they get much better 10-year old second hands there.

I totally agree with you finney, the Logan is a decent looking car with comparably OK interiors. In fact the car is a lot more well proportioned than the latest offerings from Maruti etc. The only BIG minusis the price, if it had been priced around the esteem & the Ikon, it would have been an instant success, as such it will take its time.

No way SB. I am trying to find the funds to upgrade to an OHC & not succeeding.

I have seen more SX4s than logans in hyderabad. This is very surprising as SX4 was launched much later and does not have a Diesel option as of now. If mahindra is selling this car, where are they? Does anybody know if there is a waiting period for logan. I know that SX4 has waiting period as I saw a letter from Maruti MD in one of the newspapers here.
