I called up the number which was displayed on my booking. As mentioned previously, the number belonged to the representative of the DEALERSHIP from where I had my booking done.

The representative explained that Mahindra has changed the format / orientation of content on that page, which makes it look like the booking belongs to the person whose name is displayed now. What she claimed is - that it is the DEALERSHIP executive's name (for further queries) which is displayed right below the "DEALERSHIP address" section, it is not the name under which the booking has been done.

Furthermore, she said that due to a server issue, tracking is not working at the moment.

Everything seems a bit weird though.

The exshowroom price and the anonymous name of the SA is no longer seen. Only the information that "Order Confirmed" is shown now. I think folks from Mahindra are on the Team BHP channels

The XUV700 tracking page has been updated and my booking which earlier showed delivery as Jan - Feb 2024, now shows July - Aug 2023.

I guess Mahindra has adjusted the timeline after considering the cancellations and maybe the increased production.

Even then, if this is the actual delivery date, a year from today seems very far.

Its a relief the tracking page is up, but no change to my dates (still Aug'23 while the dealer confirmed CPD is Jan'23).

How are the servicing costs of XUV700 in general? Typical spends for a car that is generally kept in good shape and not abused.

Mahindra sent me a WhatsApp message a couple of days back saying my XUV 700 AX7L AWD is going into production. Upon logging in to track my booking, got the pleasant surprise of seeing the delivery dates preponed by 8 months!

Earlier delivery date was Aug-Sept 2023. Now it’s Jan-Feb 2023.

Any one booked in May to July received their car? I booked Petrol AX7 AT in first week of July and the status is now 'Order under Planning'. Also, how long does it take to go from 'Order under planning' to 'Delivery'?

I saw your post and checked mine. I had booked on 8th July (Petrol AX7L) and to my surprise mine has also changed to "Order under planning". But the tentative delivery date is still July 2024. May be the website takes some time to update. Even I would love to know how much time it takes from this stage until delivery. My SA at Anant Motors Bangalore is not helpful at all.

Few days back I called up a Mahindra dealership to enquire about a XUV700. According to them not all model have this insane waiting period and they have 2 AX5 model ready for delivery. The timeline basically varies with the dealership's procurement abilities and in some cases of Customer cancellations.

I see that the status has suddenly changed to "Order under Planning" for bookings made as long ago as December 2021 to as early July 2022. Mine too changed without any notification (booked in May 2022). No change in delivery date.

This could be signs of things improving or just some erroneous bulk updates happening in the backend. Hope it's the former.

If it is the latter, our joy was very short lived!

But irrespective of the online status, SA was saying people are getting the AX7L models in 10 months on an average.

Possibility is that Mahindra is now prioritizing the Luxury Model production similar to the ScorpioN. Of course, this is pure speculation.

A lot of people booked last year because of the post-covid FOMO. I think they are now coming to their senses and canceling the bookings. This is why you see some models readily available.

The top of the line model is the most VFM model. And hence, a lot of people might not want to cancel. I would just wait for Mahindra to increase the prices a bit and we'll see the bookings and the waiting periods crashing down.
