^^ Yes, Nadeem does. It again depends on the availability of the spares.

I enquired with a mechanic regarding a paint job for NE, he said about 8k. is that ok ?
Also needed to know how much would a fullt body service approximately cost? kindly advise guys. thanks.

Apologies for the delay. To be frank, I am not quite sure about the paint job for NE. But 8k should be pretty reasonable. What do you exactly mean by full body service? P.S : Do update us on the progress of your NE.

That sounds reasonable. I had to spend 5K in repainting my white NE, but it was atleast 8 years ago

Guys, tinkering painting jobs are very subjective. It varies from one car to another, based on many things like how much rusting it has visibly and also internally. It also depends on the quality of work by the tinker and painter and the brands of the materials too. What could start as a 8k could end up as 12-15k also sometimes.

An good condition NE at the hands of an excellent tinker and painter would definitely cost 15k+

The car below belongs to Joy (AirbusDriver) but i am the main owner

The wheel cap on the LHS is different, is it the right one , if not , where can i get the exact type?

Some pics for you guys to enjoy.

Just amazed at the space and comfort it has to offer.

Drove it for over 650 kms over a month and "I'am loving it"

Average FE i achieved is around 11 Kmpl, with almost everytime A/C being ON and sedate driving.

As per my observation the second pictured hub cap is of Padmini and not NE. The first one (which is somewhat flat) is correct to the NE's.

Even through I sold my 118NE and 138D years back, I still remember those quartz clocks available in the dashboard. They were clearly readable in the night and was helping night riders like me.

Whether that quartz clock alone is available for purchase for fixing in my nano ?

Thank for your inputs. Hi Ilangop, your infor was helpful. Regarding the paint job for the 118NE, i have just roughly checked with the Mechanic. He is anyways going to outsource this job. And he gave me a rough estimate saying it will be 7k-8k. I just told him that i dont want to spend too much on it. Just a decent paint job to make the car look refreshing. Probably a couple of coats of paint. (not patch work). plus tinkering in more than a couple of places. Have asked him to fill in old engine oil in the running boards (to deal with the rusting problems), any inputs from you folks regarding filling old engine oil in the running boards? how exactly is it done? i shall keep you posted on my progress.

Post some pics of your NE [as how it looks right now]. As PK and EARTHed said in the Premier 118 NE Thread - Don't hurry and get the paint job done just for the sake of getting it painted. Take your time, get the restoration work done in a satisfactory way.

^^ EARTHed - Now a days, it feels good to see more and more Oldie's running on road. Here, is a pic of an NE which I spotted in Infantry Road - looks like this car had a great blessings from the Goddess after the grand puja.

This car reminded of Karthik's Earth Quake.

P.S: Notice the MAG wheel. [Poor Quality pic - taken from a Mobile Camera]
