India bound 2011/12 Honda Civic ? EDIT : Clean pictures on pg. 19

Recieved a message from Hallmark Honda today inviting me for the unveiling of the 'New' Honda Civic on the 22nd of January in Hallmark Honda, Navi Mumbai between 11 AM to 5PM.

My guess is its just a silly cosmetic upgrade, otherwise i think it is too early for the release of the new generation model.
IMO anyway the current gen Civic looks better than the one slated for release and owning it has been a real pleasure. I for one would not go for the new gen model unless there are some serious upgrades on features.

The new Civic looks very similar to the current City, with a few changes in the body here and there!
Also, it looks bigger than the current one.
The happy part is that the GroundClearance looks a little more than what the Civic has now, which will make the car better on the rugged Indian roads!

That's the ASEAN version. The US version is slightly different from the front.

The car does look like the asean version (the one we get in india).
Its almost identical to the silver ones spied by cars middle east in Dubai or wherever it was.

Overall, its a nice looking car but for people like me who want to change from the current gen to the next gen its a bit of an issue. I mean i dont want to be seen in this car and people assume its the same old civic. What i mean is i wanted something more aggressive or different, someewhat like what the ANHC did over the NHC.

Looks like an upscaled NHC. Are we are going to have confusion NHC Vs NHC (New Honda City Vs New Honda Civic)?

The production version looks exactly like the concept shown at Detroit, but the grill seems to be different. The mesh grill of the concept made the car look more aggressive , this just spoils everything. Even the good looking alloy wheels are traded for a more conservative looking one.

You can probably put that concern to rest. Look at the rear-end of this Civic. It's so different (and drab) that people will never assume it's the same old (and vastly better-looking IMHO) Civic.

The rear looks likea camry.I doubt that these changes will be carried over to the Indian model and i guess it a north american specific facelift.

Also these looks tone down the aggressive and the sharp features of the current civic.

Sir, i dont think you have been following the thread. This is not a facelift but the next generation civic.
