No harm checking their quotes.
Yes indeed Honda Assure is on higher side.
I too went for Tata AIG Pearl Plan.

Tata AIG Pearl Plan gives you 0 Dep for 6 years on 1st ownership of Honda, I plan to continue.

Yes, you should check other options.
But remember Tata AIG 0 Dep Perl Plan is 2 zero depreciation claims per year. More than those will be usual claims.

Hi, Can you please let know the insurance experience? Or like, how were you able to tone down from 19k to 12k for the same IDV?
My white tiger is gonna celebrate the 2nd Bday this Dec, and am checking on the insurances available.

Congratulations bluevolt for the 2nd birthday of venus.
Any presents to Venus?
You seem to have munched more miles than me in 2 years.
Enjoy the ride and drive safe.

A question to City owners (the new one with chrome grill - corporate edition if it helps): Do any of you face wheel rim bends? A relative got 3 bends in front wheel steel rims. It happened at normal speeds at not so big pot holes. Any such observations? Can it be escalated - as the car is just about 5 months old.

rims get bend due to impact on hard objects such as stones or deep pot holes at speeds.
This is basically drive related and the elements of influence are beyond the control of the manufacturer.
However if you have observed any manufacturing defect that has caused this damage, then you can claim warranty.
Items such as steel rims are usually bought out items and the manufacturer's are reluctant to process warranty claims citing wear and tear or other such things that not covered by warranty.
It is better to change the wheel with bent rim and use the car and see if the defect is inherent to the car and then decide.
Otherwise just change the damaged steel rim.
PS: You may get steel rim almost for free with the dealer or in tire shops when some of the car owners upgrade to Alloys.
You may look out for this as well.

re: It's Me and My Honda City i-VTEC - It's Us Against the World! EDIT: Sold!

Congratulations bluevolt for the happy ownership.

I had a question for people who have driven both the 2012 City and also the Jazz. Yesterday and today I took test-drives of the City and the Jazz on the same stretch of road. I somehow had the notion that the Jazz would be a better handler of the two, based on a few inputs from friends. But the City was a clear winner in almost all departments of ride and handling. In addition, the Jazz had a scrape against a big speed-breaker which the City handled quite admirably. Is anybody surprised by this? Or my info was all wrong? In any case, the 2012 City has firmed up the suspension quite a lot.
