| ![]() Indian Decars at Banjara Hills was not ready to quote below 5k for CS-35. Car Shringar at Greenlands quoted 3M for 2900 and recommended Autographix for 3200/- I finally settled for Autographix Charcoal35 series of film with 35 vlt and around 50% heat rejection for 3200. |

BANNED | ![]() Can anyone here please help me out. I just got a quote of 4K for 3M RE50 sunfilm for the sides+rear for my Ford fusion. The guy is a trusted dealer here in Delhi so he is pretty authentic. But the question here is, Is the price right or is he demanding more? PS - Is there any other brand that you guys want to recommend? I know the llumar distributor in Delhi personally and I am sure i can get a good price there, but Are these any good? What is the warranty on llumar, 3M gives 3 year warranty on RE series. Please recommend a llumar film also which looks like the RE 50 of 3M. PPS - In Delhi, permitted sun film visibilty is 50% for the sides and 70% for front and rear. Last edited by Mustang.101 : 20th March 2011 at 13:12. |

Llumar films are good too. Compare the specs with the llumar steel series too. I reckon 3M to be slightly better in terms of heat rejection figures.

I hope Car Shringar did a good job. They totally ripped me off on a job that I went to them for some two years back. The 3M they quoted for 2.9k may be the SP or CS series. Regards, spadix

| ![]() I'm a little confused. Are we talking about clear film for the front windshield or with minimal tint. I understand that we get fully clear film with decent heat rejection for the front windshield from V-Kool, Lumar and 3M all in the range of Rs 6500/- for one windshield. I've used 3M CS20 for my windows and rear windshield through the dealers as a freebie along with my Cruze |

CR70 (or equivalent product by another manufacturer) is preferable for the front windscreen. Besides, CR trumps RE in terms of TSER and given the area of the front windshield that becomes important. Regards, spadix

TSER = Total Solar Energy Rejected. The 'total' bit refers to the invisible components of sunlight viz. IR (heat) and UV. So it's (IR + visible light + UV). Regards, spadix

| ![]() Is it true that the 3M sunfilm prices have gone up by 5% or so ? First week of march I was quoted 4500 for RE35 for sides & rear of ANHC and 5500 for CR70 for the front windsheild. Today the RE35 costs 4900 and CR70 cost 5750. |

| ![]() Yes !! The front windscreen has the largest area and maximum inclination, therefore maximum solar heat ingress takes place from there. So if your day involves prolonged parking in open, then front sun film is definitely recommended. And as mentioned in previous posts, here you focus on the VLT (not less than 70%) & TSER (as high as possible) to have the maximum benefit. Additionally, front film will help at night by reducing the glare from on-coming traffic. |

I tinted my Linea's glasses this month and below are the prices Total Cost : CR70 - Rs. 6500 RE35 - Rs. 5670 I got a discount of 10 percent from the above listed price. I paid Rs.10,953 in total. At 3M, prices were classified in to 4 - small, medium, large & Extra Large. ANHC is classified as 'large' and Linea in 'Extra large'. The difference between Large and Extra large was around approx rs. 400
