Guys does anybody have the pic of complete swift exhaust system.I want to go in for a remus universal single tip but i dont want to weld it.Is there any way of doing it?
Mustang, the Triphase is a much simpler contraption than a standalone ECU. However, I must say the way it complemented the FFE+K&N job surprised me - I drive 85 km/day in Mumbai and the nice 2nd/3rd gear surge in low RPM has me smiling. There's also a 1.6 Ikon SXi I keep driving and I would say the Swift is 90% there in low RPM feather-throttle mode - a humongous improvement over stock.

What Next ?

My Goal: To build a fast street car that can also perform quite well on Track.

My Requirements:
  • I am not very interested in Exterior appearance - read no body kits, no Angel eyes, no bling bling stuff
  • I am interested in Outright performance at a reasonable cost.
  • This is not a Track car - Hence should have resonable driveability in public roads as well
  • Engine Swaps ruled out
  • Budget : Approximatley 1-1.5 L (Total Value - Not One Time Investment)
  • Timeframe: Phased approach preffered. Looking at somewhere close to Jan 2011 for Completion.
  • Got BHP? : I am looking at somewhere between 120-130 BHP, provided daily rideability is not sacrificed a lot
Existing Scenario:
The Car:
  • 2007 Swift Perol (Vxi, Non-ABS Version)
  • Current reading on Odo: 22768 KM
  • Specific Issues: Clutch replaced at 15,000 km on Odo.
Mods:
  • Airfilter: Changed to K&N Stock Replacement Filter at 22,000 KM
  • Tires: 195/60 Apollo Acclere
  • Alloys: 15" Lenso
  • Exhaust: Custom made Free Flow Exhaust (with Headers) from Electra
What Mods?
I am having the below in mind, but not sure what to take up, what to leave out. Request Engine Guru's to tell me which are all the better options - keeping Cost in mind
  1. Triphase - I want to know is it worth the the cost, Any issues in the long run ?
  2. Performance Cam - I guess i have to fiddle with compression ratios here. Will Quality Fuel / Higer Octane Fuel a must.?
  3. Porting & Polishing - How safe is this.? Long run issues
  4. Enlarging the Throttle body - Better to do along with P&P ?
  5. ECU Upgrade / Piggy back ECU's - I am Looking at RD's ECU (If this is good - i think Triphase is ruled out). What is the performance gains, we are looking here? Do i have to remap everytime a do an engine mod
  6. Supercharger - Additional strain on Engine ? Good in long run ? What will be cost involved here ? Can i give me some 10-15 HP increase?
  7. Second hand Turbo - Seems tempting, but not sure on the reliability factor. Again, cost where am i looking here. I am sure this ll get me where i want to in termas of BHP, but...the but factor as said above
  8. Ligthtend flywheel - Low end performance compromised ? Any other factors to consider here
  9. Performance Clutches - Can help put down the power better. Excedy Stage 2 / SPEC Stage 3 ?
Guru's please enlighten me. What combinations of the above within my specified budget can get me my goal. Any other Mods which i have'nt considered ?

I understand that Suspension and Brakes also need an Upgrade - But I ll have to allocate a different budget for that - Not in Scope for now.

Apart from this i have 2 wild ideas:(Not sure if its feasible here)
  1. We all know the Tsi engine (1.4 Tsi, 1.8 Tsi,). Is it possible for a Super Charged Turbo mod to be done in India ?. Is it just plonking of a super charger and a corresponding Turbo or its much more to it than that
  2. How about twin sequential Turbos ? Not sure if anything lesser than 2L can take up this. How difficult is this mod to get done.(Forget the Swift here)
Many Thanks in advance

Maybe for you. Except for the yellow and red choice of paint, everything else is good. I have seen it in flesh and i know how graceful it looks on the move.

Yellow could have been baige, a bit subtle, but thats just my opinion.
Nice Lenzo Wheels though. And I like the front grill, inspired by the A4..?

Modifications by RIO Designs

Hi all,

I have a 2005 Silky Silver Swift Vxi and planning to do very minor modifications to it. I plan to just fit the GTi sports kit & want to have the car re-painted to the same colour but would'nt mind a more brighter/classier custom shade of silver. I am actually even considering getting the car painted in 'chrome' or the sliver like that on the McLaren Mercedes F1 car.

Now Ive heard of Rio Designs in Mumbai and heard of his brilliant modifications and paint jobs. His paint jobs and finish are apparently better than that of brand new cars out of the showroom. And I have also heard that he is pretty expensive. Has anyone here done any work from Rio? If so, kindly give me feedback and if he is recommended. Also a contact number and address if possible.
