Re: Yamaha Aerox 155 Scooter. Edit: Launched at 1.29 lakhs

Surprisingly, a friend picked up an Aerox 155 and when I met him recently, he insisted that I test ride the scooter for some time. This was only the second time in my life that I had ridden a scooter, so I was a little hesitant with the throttle and braking. Once I got used to it though, I began to like the Aerox. Its big, comfortable and quite flickable.

My friend loves the scooter and says that it allows him to safely get to high speeds on the highway, which is part of his daily commute. I wont be surprised if we slowly find a lot of TBHPians buying the Aerox to replace their 100cc yawn a minute scooters.

I am in that boat since the day Aerox was launched. But I need the scooter on daily basis so can't accept the waiting, can't keep two scooters at home and need to find a buyer for my Activa

Re: Yamaha Aerox 155 Scooter. Edit: Launched at 1.29 lakhs

Got delivery of aerox today.

I have been a four wheeler person throughout my life. Last year I thought of learning how to ride two wheelers. I bought an activa without knowing how to ride, got a fzs also a month later. But after riding aerox I feel that this is the vehicle I was looking for. Very good power delivery, before you pay attention you are already cruising at 40. Very stable. Suspension is stiff but liveable. I am 6’2”, knees do not touch apron under normal riding and sitting posture is also comfortable.

Special thanks to pacer hebbal for arranging the vehicle in 3 weeks. I have no affiliation to them, but Mr. Manju went all the way to accommodate every request and arrange a faster delivery.

Re: Yamaha Aerox 155 Scooter. Edit: Launched at 1.29 lakhs

I went for a breakfast ride to airport today (return about 53 kms). Being new to the world of two wheelers so far I never felt confident of going to airport in my earlier vehicles (Activa 125 / FZS). But with Aerox you just feel like riding, it makes you confident with its stability and good suspension.

Here is my first ride report/review. Also I am getting some squeaks from the meter console and a constant metal hitting metal sound from the seat lock. Need to get this checked during the 1st service. What is the comfortable tyre pressure people here follow?

Seat lock - for a stop gap solution, try looping an insulation tape around the metal loop which locks the seat in place. When it locks, you shouldn’t get the irritating metallic sound.

Cheers

Nice video. You think they indigenized the scooter this year? (so the loose console and seat lock?). Console can be tightened and for the lock you may use insulation tape. Tyre pressure is 29 front/33 rear

Will try the hacks. The console i believe is a result of hard suspension and bad roads. Similar with the seat. As far as i know the bike is still very much a ckd. Actual production to start in March and that’s why the supply problems. Also yamaha is not supplying any mt15 for another month and this is because of semiconductors shortage it seems. Well check the tyre pressures asap.

Aerox takes on the drag strip and is able to keep up ahead of the Ather 450X during all stages of the race.

So another one has joined the plethora of Aerox's owned by BHP-ians!

Took delivery of the Vermillion Gray on 2nd Feb and having completed 600kms today, it has been a thrilling experience so far!!

Just feel like twist opening the throttle and let the beast unleash, but trying real hard () to keep it under till engine run-in.

Though Yamaha lists this color as Gray Vermillion, it actually is Pastel Dark Gray as per my virtual RC and VIN sticker on the steed.

Congratulations.

Dont worry. All these Yamaha colours have different names on the Vahan portal and the hence RC card.

Grey Vermillion - Pastel Dark Grey
Racing Blue - Deep Purplish Blue Metallic Y
Metallic Black - Black Metallic X

Also, on a related note, Aerox 155 Monster edition has been discontinued.
