Check with Chandan Motors Yamaha. They seem to be offering the Aerox to YouTubers for reviews. TD vehicle should be available with them.

Doc, have you done a TD of this ? If not you must. Its almost there with its bigger brothers/sisters of the Yamaha DMax series. At times you may forget you are on a scooter.

People like me who needs a city commuter will definitely like it, sans the front space

Also "underbone " bike is becoming a big MotoGP series in near future. Its already a big part of Asia Pacific Championships - see some of the videos - more fun than the the bigger classes

Absolute terrible handling of this launch by Yamaha India. Looks like they honestly expected the Aerox to flop and badly when at it.

Still not even a display unit anywhere in Kerala, with none of the showrooms except one BLUE SQUARE dealership in Kochi having even seen one ever! Seems dealers are expecting it by Feb 1st week at the earliest.

Thanks a ton. Called them up, they have TD vehicle and are accepting bookings, waiting time is 30-45 days. Will visit them on Monday.

Yes. Yamaha didn’t expect this kind of demand. From what i have learnt is the first batches are ckd. Actual production is starting in march. After this the regular dealerships will have it. Until then exclusive to bluesquare ones and that they are billing around 6 vehicles a month.

This 'tool' was missing in my Aerox and I had asked the dealership to give me one. I believe they have sent it by post to my address. No kit there, just a screwdriver

How has the Aerox fared so far? Are you using it more than the Honda?

I test rode it at Chandan yesterday. Found the suspension to be pretty stiff. I have an adventure 390 and found the suspension on the Aerox to be stiffer.

I'm looking for an alternate to my Jupiter that is boring and not being used currently.

The Honda is used only for long rides whereas the Aerox is used for everything. Sets the bar high actually We have the NTORQ and nobody is touching it now. There is no such thing as a cold start issue in the mornings. Suspension is stiff as it is set for a sporty ride. Overseas they provide the KYB suspension as standard. Here, Yamaha is asking ridiculous prices for it! Maybe next year I'll consider the fitment, let's see

Aerox needs a front hook to carry grocery. I studied the hook arrangement carefully of their Phillipines model, and understood what needs to be done - AND WHERE. During first service, sifted through the YAMAHA parts bin, and sourced this wonderful hook. Now I had this super-strong velcro kit from 3M, USA and has been my 'go-to solution' all these years. ONE inch can take TEN kilos of weight. Cleaned the area well with alcohol, cut two pieces (That's a 2 kilo weight capacity), and stuck it in place tonight. If this arrangement works out I have JB Plastic weld in mind as well, for the future, and that's a permanent solution. (JB Weld is the strongest glue ever). But I doubt it will come to that. So that's one problem solved

So i am getting the aerox. The thing now is should i go for the blue which matches my polo and is completely apart from my ninja or should i go for black. Also peeps chandan has just got stock coming in tomorrow. Also if someone wants a monster edition there is one in mysore.

I would suggest black, it will be easier to live with from the cleaning point of view. The blue colour rims/wheels will be more difficult to maintain and make dirt/dust/imperfections more pronounced. Plus the black looks way better to my eyes

The dealer is holding both the bikes for me. So i have the option to choose the day i go, mostly 23rd. Since i know him well and personally used to hold a yamaha dealership insider info is that each bluesquare dealer is getting 6 bikes a month. And normal dealers have no timeline as of bow. My dealer from hubli is sourcing the bikes from another Chandan. Also getting the led indicators. I own a blue polo and i know the pain. But wont black be even more difficult? I somehow loved the blue and its unique but after seeing the black in showroom pics its nothing like shown on the website. The white shade feels like a light version of gun metal grey.

Look at the possibilities. You can buy this Black, de-sticker it and get it pinstriped, like the Philippines version. Or you can pick Blue (dark colours are hard to maintain, generally)
