true, the comet does not have a digital speedo. but the GT250R does have a digital speedo. I am assuming the engines are the same.

YouTube - 0 a 184 km/h comet 250
Maybe a Halley's Comet does 180kmph lol

The humble Comet sold here tops at around 140kmph true speed.

Btw that digi speedo is of course of a Hyosung Comet GTR250, but not of one the sold here. That particular comet comes with a fullfairing. Taking into account the speedo error it might be doing around 160... ?

whatever the true speed The comet cant be called a junk bike yes its no where near the ninja 250 but at 1.8 lacs at that time or even today if it was around for the same price it will be the best bike around

Well calling Comet shitty is quite unfair. It was by far the best bike you could get for that price(with Bill, warranty & Insurance) & the only downside with the bike was the Kinetic tag.

and the pathetic build quality, Reliability issues, cheap cycle parts and not to mention the non availabilty of those parts as well. So it wasnt really worth the price..but yea maybe i was a little to harsh by calling it shitty.

Cheap cycle parts I agree but poor build quality I dont. The frame(chasis) the tank & wheels etc were of quite good quality. The handle bar, disk pads, foot pegs etc did had issues though.

Thank you Nitrox
The pictures are good and i promise i will post a very similar picture of the 250R's alongside the list of all the 250R buyers that Dan has posted, but not in the showroom, probably with amby valley as the Back drop.

@ Dan - thanks buddy for the list, although 1name goes out. Amit lost patience and bought the R15 (dont know if he would be able to sustain the pressure of not buying after he sees all of em (250r's) going past him)

@ Abhi -
you should not have had called the comet a shitty bike. you dont like it, ok.

Also the 250R is not just an upgrade to the ZMA/220 but any and every indian bike as its still the 1st bike people buy abroad (it just came out as i dont ride a ZMA/220, but i aint any slower. am i?)

Kunal- who knows maybe if things are well..there could be more added to that list till then...lets hope that Kawasaki knows that somewhere deep in heart of India are some avid riders that would test the 250's capabilities on twisties to the max.. NOxx OUT!
