2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250R. EDIT - Launched at Rs. 2.7L Ex Showroom

Is any other manufacturer planning to launch a direct competitor to the Ninja 250 in the near future (I dont consider bikes like the R15 competitors to the N250 - diff pedigree altogether).

I sincerely hope they can keep it within 2L. If I consider one, it would purely be a weekend / monthly indulgence. I'm sure there'll be lots of similar potential owners like me who can be tapped up to a certain price point but not beyond since its more an indulgence than a requirement for several prospective buyers. Anyway, I guess only the coming months will tell.

yeah we all have heard rumors from tvs about a v-twin . plus bajaj ktm will be launching its 250cc single next year at the auto expo but i think that wont be a competitor to the ninja . so nothing as of now .

I am tired of these rumors about the baby ninja.They keep disappointing me. I think its better to forget about the rumors and get surprised by the launch news one fine day.

As per the information from a guy working at Bajaj. It will be launched in the next two months. Let's hope its true

PS: mahindra should learn and launch the comet and Aquila officially in India.

I am hoping this is true, but, I have been excited so many times on news that turns doesnt materialize that I will only believe it when it is launched, Formally and is available for sale.

Atleast things seem to be moving now.Finally 'expect' to see the bike launched formally in the next few months. This is one interesting bike,and it'll surely change motorcycling in India.

No official price is disclosed yet. But it is very much likely to be in 2.5-3.10L range. The person there was not informed about anything! I think the advertising team was there. I managed to click some photos. But the officials were angry. I did not take any further chance.In the second pic you can see the person walking towards me!

But as Sammy said earlier, I wont get excited as yet, atleast not till the time it really goes on sale.

I think i would beg, steal or borrow for this (get a loan done actually).
Diwali launch (typically bajaj).
A whole new defination to the fastest Indian (if its a CKD, which it is)
GOD, please give the strength.
