Yes, some stock of old 3 series is still left with the dealers. Discounts range from around 3 to 6 L depending upon dealer and model you're choosing

No way that's possible. A CE will cost you around 28 L OTR ( approx figure, you can surely knock off 1-2L more if dealer gives you a good amount of discount )

Cheers
Sameer

Actually it depends on the amount of discount you're getting.

In the morning, I read a article which mentioned discounts on 3 Series CE is around 6 L and for dynamic variant it's around 3 L.

So, Effective price with insurance and reg. charges here in Delhi should be around 26 L OTR, no ? ( considering one gets around 3 L discount )

Add 2-3 lakhs more, If you are going to take BSI along.

Cheers,
Sameer

That'll be nice.

My driving is within the city and also some long distance drives, within Maharashtra and without. I am contemplating another Bombay - UT run in October and then a Rann drive in winter.

Re: Volkswagen Jetta : Test Drive & Review

I had a chat with the GM of the dealership today. He requested me not to cancel the booking. He promised me delivery by this month-end and also a better deal. I told him I was ok with a CL or HL manual. Decided to keep the booking for now. Hopefully I will have the car soon. The GM also did offer me 3L discount on the TL Passat if I was interested, but decided against it as I found the Jetta to be a better drivers' car than the passat and the TL passat is also bare (compared to the CL/HL).

the car has come back from service and they've indeed done a good job at TVS. I had given 2 complaints both have been attended to. The steering is easier in slow speeds, the clutch pedal is softer although I didn't give these complaints and they didn't charge anything clutch or steering related. But so far my costliest service this 60k service. 23.5k parts and 5.5k labour.

It is possible to fit both in TL. My sister booked TL yesterday and might go for the fogs. Music system will be expensive so decided bot to go for the upgrade. Car is availbale for delivery but will be taking by the end of the month. It's toffee brown.

Dont have the pics. TL comes with base music system, no chrome inserts, no wood trims, no steering mounted controls etc.
Hope jetta owners can post the pics.

You can buy the RCD 510 off eBay UK for around 200-250GBP so should be around 17-20K. It should be pretty easy to install.

Re: Volkswagen Jetta : Test Drive & Review

With the new Hyundai Elantra prices announced, the Jetta suddenly looks even more expensive (almost 3 lakhs variant to variant). Should be interesting to see how Jetta sales get affected. Wondering if this will force VW to correct prices in the next couple of months.

I think the Elantra should be able to steal many customers away from VW, Skoda, Chevy and Toyota. Good to see more competition in the D1 segment.
