Fellow JETta owners,

What is the status of extended warranty? In Mumbai, VW Downtown and VW Mumbai West are denying any extended warranty on the New Jetta. In Pune VW B U Bhandari confirmed on phone that extended warranty is available since as early as October 2011. What about other dealers in and outside Mumbai?

No EW here in Bangalore. Before booking the Jetta, I specifically asked for it and was told that there is no EW on the Jetta. Called another dealer and was told the same.

The cruise control was present in first batch, maybe as they used the same steering assembly as Highline initially.
Comfortline seems more VFM but only if you are comfortable driving with heavy clutch! Wish they would have provided auto in this trim as well!

My previous ride was the humble Accent (petrol), so there is marked difference in the thrill of driving! As has been said by everyone on this forum the car is a great handler and sticks to the tarmac as if glued to it!

Its a black Comfortline. Will soon do a photoshoot and start the ownership thread. (have to get down to it instead of procrastinating )

Any news on the ACC ? Have you heard from anyone about it ?

Was wondering if you get the EW from B U Bhandari - what difference does it make. The warranty is being offered by VW not a particular dealer. As mentioned before I had picked up EW in Oct from B U Bhandari while the other dealer in the city (Vidyut Motors) had no clue on EW.

Talked to VW Downtown Mumbai guy about EW. He said there is no reply what so ever from VW. On being asked how BU at Pune is offering the same, he said it is probably some dealer side warranty that is being offered. Can you verify your warranty documents and confirm if this claim is true?

Re: Volkswagen Jetta : Test Drive & Review

Volkswagen launched the TSI variant in India, priced between Rs 13.60 lakh and Rs 15.07 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Here's the linky for more information : Volkswagen launches petrol variant of Jetta; price starting from Rs 13.60 lakh - The Economic Times.

I must say, pricing is spot on when compared to diesel jetta, but going by the current petrol price, i guess it will struggle to find good number of buyers.

MODS: If it doesn't belong to this thread, please move it to relevant thread.

Cheers
Sameer

Re: Volkswagen Jetta : Test Drive & Review

Got the Jetta Petrol onroad prices in Bangalore. Atleast a lakh above my expectation. At these prices this 1.4 TSI does not make sense ... unless VW throws in a big discount.

Here is what I got (via email, so this is from the showroom price list)

Jetta Petrol Trendline MT: Rs 17.17 lakhs (ex showroom: 13.78)
Jetta Petrol Comfortline MT: Rs. 18.99 lakhs (ex showroom: 15.27)

I m talking to the dealers next week to see what they say in terms of pricing.

Has anyone seen a different pricing?

Re: Volkswagen Jetta : Test Drive & Review

So the ACC isnt being added to the Jetta Highline. I had inquired with VW and this is the reply i got. Its amazing how VW isn't still bothered. Their car is brilliant and yet it does not sell well because its-

Overpriced, misses out on some imp features, and VW's in store experience (its not better than a Maruti Showroom).

They call it moonlight silver. I absolutely loved it. Solved my colour woes. It was a trend line or comfort line variant coz it didn't have those beautiful wheels that are beyond my reach.

Sliver leaf discontinued.
