yes I would like to check out ARIA , but Will not buy it!

As already in this thread several niggles have come out in open for Duster , but for me it still perceives more value and fits the bill for a 5seater city cruiser with occasional highway drives

cheers
Renault seems to have one sure fan already !

Go ahead and get the Duster - this forum needs a owner's review too !

Since you are so pretty sure on the Aria, check out the ownership thread for a list of the major problems faced.

- I also recall another thread of a Tata sponsored adventure, in the Aria wasn't exactly distinguishing itself.
- There also must be some reason(s) why its sales have tanked spectacularly so far.

Let's keep this thread on the Duster , instead of a one vs one, shall we.

Finally saw a Duster on road in Kolkata. Woodland brown colour, which looked good (would pick a black personally!). It was smaller in person than I was anticipating, but then that's what it is supposed to be- a compact suv! Looked impressive overall and it will certainly retain its novelty factor for some time at least.
I need to do a test drive of both the diesel variants, but going all the way to the Renault showroom to get a td done hasn't worked out yet. Renault really have to deploy a few more td vehicles... they may be losing out on several potential buyers by not offering to go to the customer for test drives.

Since we have already using Sedans and Duster is a fresh change we are looking for , I might just go for it . 85 with option pack may not be available till September end perhaps !
cheers
Sales guy offered u which variant?
When i last visited the showroom, i saw 2 to 3 people who came for the cancellation.
So going for Duster or not?
What i have decided is, i postponed by purchase to Jan 2013.
Sa has promised delivery in Sep 12.
Either i will go for cancellation or will go for variant change to postpone delivery.
Let the Ecosport come and i also want Renault to correct niggles like wind noise, air leaking into cabin and rear window switch placement.

Sales Guy offered me RXL 110 with option pack , so I have decided to go with it. Will hopefully get delivery next week. I had already sold my car which was due for replacement , so cannot wait much longer.

Cheers

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Saw a Duster pass me by on NH 44 yesterday evening. I was close to 100, and inspite of the speeds he was doing, there was absolutely no smoke from the exhaust.

Check here: Renault - equipment

If the symbol is "optional" it means that particular feature is available in the option pack of the same variant.
For example, Dual Front Airbags are shown as "optional" in the 85 PS RXL, but what it really means is that these are standard in the 85 PS RXL Option Pack variant.

Not the most intuitive nomenclature Renault Marketing :|

Hi

RXL 110 PS Option Pack has ABS, Alloy Wheels, Airbags over the normal Variant.

It is basically same as RXL 85 PS Option Pack but with 110 PS Engine

Cheers

Hi

No it does not have a rear AC and as per Renault Delhi West Price List , it is 10.50L Ex-Showroom , so roughly 51K over RXL110PS or RXL85(O) which are 9.99 L Ex-Showroom

Since it was not available at launch , i reconfirmed with Dealer whether it is an official renault variant or Dealer has customised the same. It is an official Variant available, the Dealer has confirmed.

I am hoping to take the delivery by end of this week.

Cheers

Nitin: Have you confirmed this with Renault?
I don't see 110 PS RXL+option pack on Renault website.
I seriously doubt this & don't trust dealer i would say.
What is on road price for 110 RXL + option pack.
Uploading price list of Duster.

Sorry, I am going off topic. But since people interested in Duster will be going to this dealer.
Please note that Logistics charges are illegal.

A humble request. If needed please discuss this on the relevant thread and not this one.

Hi buddy

I was also in doubt but they have the variant offered in the price list . Tomorrow I would call Gurgaon Dealer to verify further.

If proved otherwise I would drop plan to buy Duster and then maybe opt to buy Nissan Sunny or any other Sedan !

But I do appreciate your concern

Cheers
