Hi Ecosport rules, can you please show a picture of how it looks when installed?
Also this might need additional wiring and switch. How did you accomplish it?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Recent Ecosport buyers @chennai, can you please advice on the quote that was offered to you? Chennai ford has offered quote of 10.98L for Titanium version(on - road) and am trying to get the quote from MPL as well. Also i would like to know which of these two gives you good dealership experience and in other areas as well?

TIA!

My bad. Never heard the name before. And I never expected AleExpress to sell anything other than Chinese stuff.

Now, I can buy these with confidence. Only thing, I am now tempted by the mini-projectors too.

Is this Titanium manual or AT? Petrol or diesel?

I got the Titanium AT (including essential pack and reverse cam) for 10.96 in Pune, where prices are on the higher side.

Unless this is the diesel, you should negotiate hard.

Based on what i heard from MPL Ford, Pallikaranai, some of the MPL Ford showrooms/service centers will be bought by Eureka Ford [seller of Genuine Ford Spare parts]. Rest of the showrooms will still be MPL.

Sorry Penpavan , missed out on your question regarding wiring.

Installation of Hella Ralley 3003(upgraded to a 100 watt halogen bulb)

*I used the Philips wiring harness with a switch and 20 amp fuse.
*wired it from the spare fuse available on the side of the battery terminal
*Installed a socket near the lights for easy removal and storage (the harness can be left in place and the auxiliary lights can be removed )
*Used heavy guage brackets as light mounts to prevent vibrations on rough roads.
*No tampering done to any of the existing wiring

Hope that helps

Definitely helps! Thanks ecosport_rules.

However from your post, I get a feeling that these headlamps are overkill for the city driving condition.

Thanks penpavan
*Those lights are strictly for highways with a divider only
*Never use them in city(as they are severely blinding to the oncoming traffic)

Sometimes use them for truck drivers who irritate you with too many lights .

I have used self locking nuts only.
Any ideas to make them theft proof is appreciated.

Thank you

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Friends, I own a 5 year oldFord Figo, TDI, Titanium model. The car has run 83000 kms, 20% on highway. Now I want to sell the Figo and buy a new car. My heart is set on Ford Ecosport, Diesel version. Please advise me. My priorities are
1. Fuel effeciency. My Figo is giving 14 kms in city and 19 kms on highway with 100% AC and expect same if not better FE from the new car.
2. Effective AC
3. Long distance Highway driveability.
4. Good space in the rear for 2 and occasional 3 adults.
Will Ford Ecosport match my expectations.
Thanks.

I drove a diesel through Zoomcar; got 18+ on the highway run, with 100% a/c and 4 adults. I assume the city FE should reach your expecation.

Absolutely; quite effective.

3. Long distance Highway driveability.
Apart from awful headlights, comfortable on the highways.

As long as the drive is short when there are 3 adults in the rear, it should be fine.

I have the 1.5 petrol AT and barring the headlights, I'm happy with the vehicle.
