Guys whats the kerb weight of the Ecosport not able to find that in the specification sheets.
That would give an idea on PTW ratio. |
Yes. It is missing . I was also trying to find it because I want to know it for comparison of 1.0L Ecoboost Engine performance.
I have a complete Detail brocure given by Ford Showroom but Kerb Weight is not mentioned anywhere.
Downloaded EcoSport Product Brocuhre. May be useful for those who are planning to buy it in near future.
I am pleasantly surprised to see the mid variant trend so loaded with features like ABS EBD, rear wiper, driver seat height adjustment etc. And the pricing is spot-on! Advance Congratulations ford, you gotta winner! This car has the potential to even topple the best selling Bolero, let alone the duster.
Awesome pricing.clap: I had booked the 1.5l petrol manual ecosport (yearly running will not exceed 9K/10K kms). My budget was 10 lacs.
Will be saving a whopping 1.3 lacs... Time for some accessories shopping.
super like the refrigerator..:thumbs up
OTR Prices for Ecsport in Pune as attached. Absolutely cracker of a deal even the Titanium (o) is!! For just 44k more, you lose the grab handles but get 4 more airbags! :thumbs up
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner for the "Car of the year 2013"!
2 fantastically priced products on 2 consecutive days! Would this single-handedly revive the Indian auto industry?
OTR Bangalore Trend-TDCI is 9,57,000 Titanium -TDCI is 10,80,000 according to Metro Ford. This includes extended warranty and comprehensive insurance.
Even though I have a token number of 48 the sales exec is quoting August end for delivery of Trend Diesel :(

Isn't that a bit high? The ex showroom price in Delhi is 8.99 L for the Titanium (O) variant for the diesel. On road should be 10 to 10.5 max in other states right? stupid:
Or is that your final price with add-ons?
Congratulations anyway, it's an awesome car to drive. |
Thank you!!. It's 9.16 ex showroom here. 15% Road tax which is around 1.4lacs and 20-30 K insurance after NCB. Mudflaps,Mats another 5K. All this comes close to 11L. The accessories should cost around 10-15K.
I had the condition with dealer that 11-11.5l for Titanium, i am buying it. Ford has given me a bonus by pricing Titanium+ at 11 :)

Took a test ride of Ecoboost Engine At metro Ford,Vasantnagar : keep it in the turbo band and it is one awesome car. Want to book the automatic 1.5 AT but the waiting period is 9 months to one yr.

Though the pricing seems quite decent I could pretty much end up being the first one out here to cancel the booking. Not saying that I will, but just might. There are those who are prepared to wait for a vehicle in queue and those that will wait a bit if the process is transparent and clean and those that will wait endlessly at the mercy of the dealer. I definitely am not from the last category and just do not see ford taking steps to ensure transparency in the booking process. It is pretty much about how well you can pressurize or get along with the dealer to jump the queue and get the vehicle fast. I don't see the dealers resisting the urge to make an extra buck in the process.
Am already unhappy with the Thane Dealer Shreeji Ford.

My feelings are the exact same as yours. Car is good, Price is good but what about dealers?
Last time when i went for a service with Chennai Ford here, i could see all the SAs were overloaded. Even i heard it from ASC guys out there. So After sale service is gona hit if the vehicle sold out in high volume in short period.
Now hearing pre-sale woes by dealers, from our forum members.
Its high time for Ford to step in and regulate their dealer network to achieve the full success of this wonderful car.
And... M&M stock market got a hit too

About 15 pages of posts on this thread in one day is a direct read on the excitement around this car. Ford has done a "your move next" to almost everyone else selling premium hatchbacks, compact SUVs etc in India in the 5 to 10 lakh segment by pricing this car so aggressively. Maybe they should just stop selling their own Fiesta, considering how much overpriced that is, in comparison.
ECOSPORT EX-SHOWROOM PRICES : CITY-WISE ,INDIA
Hope this helps all .
Cheers! :)
