Haven't been in an earlier Baleno to compare, but I'm pretty happy. I always put 28psi in all my cars and the car is usually ridden with solo or with a toddler. Minor imperfections have been ironed out, thuds are muted in major ones. As a comparison, my Polos stock suspension was noisier and thudded far more over craters than this. There is some roll, but quite liveable. The same brand of tyres, Apollos, in both cars.

Re: Maruti Baleno : Official Review

Got delivery of my Baleno petrol manual today in Bangalore after some 40 days wait. I will post a review some time later.

I wanted to buy Abarth Punto but lack of production, lack of dealer response (atleast in Bangalore) want me to move to different brand. May be Fiat is more interested in selling Jeeps.

In my opinion this is not a pretty car. Suzuki's recent designs are not good. To me the current good looking Suzuki cars are Ciaz and old gen Swift selling in India. i20 looks great but I don't want Diesel and petrol is rubbish. Absolutely terrified to buy VW after reading all the horror stories. Jazz looks like a mini Toyota Innova so did not consider that.

Congrats amv on your latest acquistion, and it looks sweet in that shade

I did TD the Baleno DDiS and it was quite nice. One of my cousin recently picked up the 1.2 AT, but have not had a chance to piloting it myself.

Wish you a very happy motoring and many mile munching.

In case you missed out, there is a very recent report about how Maruti dealership can stoop just as low (if not lower). Ironically, the car was actually a Baleno:

Irrespective of the brand/make/manufacturer, I guess we can never take things for granted when it comes to after sales in India!!

Re: Maruti Baleno : Official Review

Does anybody know how to reset the stereo to factory settings ? My stereo's bluetooth isn't working. Doesn't detect any phone since few days. I tried searching for this function in the manual but couldn't find it.

Please help.

Re: Maruti Baleno : Official Review

I just saw in Baleno owners fb group that Android Auto is officially available in new cars. An owner who got the car delivered yesterday has confirmed about Android Auto. The version is 1750.2.

Finally! About time. Any idea if current owners (especially 2017 manufactured) can get the update from the service centres yet?

Let's wait for few days and see if Maruti would update it officially for old cars.

Re: Maruti Baleno : Official Review

My Second service is due this week. Wanted to check if any members got the engine oil or air filter replaced though the oil change is set at 10K Km. The car has run approx 3900 KM. I am thinking of changing the air filter as i feel one long year is too much considering the dusty roads in Hyderabad.

Please advise.

In second service they will not change the air filter or oil. They will only clean the the air filter. If you check about the time interval mentioned to change the air filter in the service manual, it is advised to change at 40,000 kms.
They have not change the air filter even for my fourth service, cleaned and put back the same one. Though I'm thinking to change it soon.

Re: Maruti Baleno : Official Review

Renewed the Insurance Policy for my Baleno Petrol Delta (2015). Premium comes out to be 15228/- which includes Zero Dep and Engine Protector Cover. HDFC Ergo is the insurance provider and did it online through Coverfox.

Discounts?

There is a waiting period of close to 12 weeks for the car mate. And the sales adviser you will ask this will give you the same expression as the smiley above. I am going to be booking Alpha CVT later this month to ensure that I get a 2018 car and don't end up with a car in December. If you do manage to get some discounts then do let me know too.
