Hi suku_patel,
That,s a nice upgrade. One I have been thinking of doing myself. Do update us about the performance of the headlights on highways, especially with oncoming traffic.

Thanks.

Re: 2018 Ford EcoSport Facelift 1.5L Petrol : Official Review

I have a prefacelift Trend version of the Ecosport that I bought about a month ago (because I got a good deal on the previous version). I badly need a touchscreen infotainment system with Navigation. The ford guys are vehemently advising me against this. They apparently have had many compliants from customers who installed it aftermarket - warning lights coming up for no reason etc. Moreover, the headunit in the trend and other lower variants in the ecosport have a apple shaped console which I think could be a problem.

Any thoughts? And any references of shops in Bangalore I can get this done from?

Re: 2018 Ford EcoSport Facelift 1.5L Petrol : Official Review

I'm thinking of buying a Trend+ AT. I recently came to know about the 'L' mode in Trend+ against 'S' mode in Titanium+. I would like to know how does the L mode behave. Does it hold the gears longer like in the S mode or does it restrict itself to second or third gear?

MODS: this information is missing in the review. I accidentally stumbled on this piece of info. Would be great if you could include it in the review.

Both of them are from XenonPlanet. I had it installed by Karan, Mumbai contact of XenonPlanet.

They set me back by 6000 for each kit, 12,000 total.

Hi Suku,

That's a really good upgrade from the stock bulbs.

I have checked the Xenonplanet site but couldn't find the HID kits which you have mentioned. Could you please share the number of the contact person?

Do you know any one in Bangalore who can help in installing the same?

Their contact numbers are at the bottom of their website. I am not aware about Bangalore.

The clutch pedal issue has been resolved by Ford in the newer models, notice the clutch in the picture is connected to a flat rod rather than a horizontal bar in the second picture, this does not interfere with the clutch operation anymore

Re: Ford EcoSport : Official Review

Here's some good news for those craving for the manual transmission in the petrol Titanium+ variant of the EcoSport.

Ford has just introduced the Titanium+ variant of the EcoSport petrol with the 5-speed manual transmission.

Haven't read any news so far and the Ford website is still showing regular variants. Anyways, it would be great to have a fully loaded MT variant.

Really! I couldn't find any news about this anywhere. Even called my dealership on seeing this post and they don't even have a clue. Did anyone get any confirmation?

Re: 2018 Ford EcoSport Facelift 1.5L Petrol : Official Review

I took delivery of the car Last week from Chennai Ford. Right out of the showroom, I had hit the NH4 Chennai - Bangalore.

It's Titanium+ AT Petrol.
So far I am very happy with the performance (though there is some lag) of the car
My friend owns a VW POLO AT and he was amused with the feather light accelerator pedal and the steering wheel response
One of my friend also felt the car stability is perfect during rains
Tested the car in rain on Saturday while returning to Chennai from Bangalore

Had a chance to take only one Pic. Will post the detailed review in the next couple of days.

Re: 2018 Ford EcoSport Facelift 1.5L Petrol : Official Review

I did a TD of the manual petrol and came away quite satisfied. I have been itching to get a small fun to drive petrol as my daily drive and the EcoSport ticks all the boxes. With all the traffic around and most importantly lack of parking spaces forced me to think of only small cars. Though I was very much inclined to pick up the Abarth, the Ford is more practical and is a good trade-off since it can seat the family also in decent comfort. Now looking to book the Titanium+ MT sometime in April.

Re: 2018 Ford EcoSport Facelift 1.5L Petrol : Official Review

There is a new software update for SYNC 3. I have downloaded the 2.19 GB update zip file on my phone, unzipped it, put it on a pen drive and plugged it in. Nothing happened. Any ideas how to get this going?
