Ambient light, my key and sync 3 will be taken out from Titanium variant just to be replaced with a reverse parking camera!! Sounds rather like a downgrade than an upgrade for Titanium.

would love to hear your views and opinions.
Update on my query above:

Took it to the FASS last saturday. They said that it is happening because of direct sunlight falling on the unit and to avoid that from happening as far as possible. Now, while my ES is parked in shade at home and at work, one cannot avoid sunlight falling on the unit while driving. It is not embedded into the dash but is free-standing, how does one completely avoid total sun baking, specially in a tropical country like ours? Essentially, it is like leaving your smartphone in the summer sun for an hour and expect no damage to happen.

Any thoughts on preventive measures for this please?

The only possibility I see is get cr70 sunfilm for the windshield from 3m or you can also try garware suncontrol hh grey 80 if you're on a tight budget, leave front windows open a bit to avoid accesive heat build up and you should be good.

Thanks Blurust. I will explore that option as you've suggested. But isn't all types of sunfilm banned in India? In 2014, the police in Gurgaon (it was that then!) pulled me up and had all the sunfilm removed from my Indigo. For fixing the film would after market shops be reliable or should I get it from FASS?

With the launch of a Titanium + Signature variant looking imminent and maybe even prior to the Creta's facelift, Ford could look to gain more footfalls at its dealerships. I so wish they had a better petrol option though. By the looks of it, the Creta petrol seems way ahead in terms of refinement

Some new pictures of Titanium S(Blue) and Titanium+ S(Canyon Ridge) courtesy Facebook EcoSquads. Both have body colored inserts on the interiors, sunroof, black front grill and black fog lamp bezels. Titanium S has the 9" non-SYNC3 infotainment system, originally available MID and clear headlamps. Titanium+ S has 8" SYNC3 infotainment system, new MID which is available in export vehicles and smoked out headlamps.

The Blue does look lovely. I have been looking to replace my 7 year old SX4 ZDI and was almost sold on the Honda City VX manual. One key consideration to rule out the Creta was lack of the sunroof (thanks to my 7 year old son). I wonder what the timeframe is for this to be stocked up at the dealerships for me to test it. Will then decide between this specific version and the City.

Any idea if the signature edition will also come in AT? I tried to check online, but so far I could only find references to the 6-speed manual versions.

The updated Creta is expected to come with a sunroof though will be atleast 5 lacs costlier than Ecosport. Ford is gearing up for the launch of Freestyle, so I doubt if they would launch the S version before that.

Re: 2018 Ford EcoSport Facelift 1.5L Petrol : Official Review

I spoke to Bhavna Ford, one of Ford’s dealers in Mumbai enquiringly about the Siganture variant. The guy who answered the phone informed that deliveries for the new variant would cimmense by June / July. He wasn’t sure when they would have the test vehicle or date of commencement of bookings for this version.

Have you guys observed this? 1.0 Ecoboost specifications in current Ford Ecosport owners manual. Does this mean S is getting a 1.0 Ecoboost?

Any idea if the new MID is same as that of the export model? Any one chanced to see it in action or any pictures of it in action?

Looks plausible. Going by reports the 1.5 Dragon just doesn't cut the ice with enthusiasts. So the traditional fan base of Ford get an option from Ford.

I was speaking to the dealer, he said there will be a option for the 1litre ecoboost engine in the newer models, in my previous post a month back, I had given the list of models being offered.

Is the dealer expecting even the automatic in Ecoboost? Or is it just the manual?
