Hi Arkin, Sorry mate this week is too busy in the evenings. I am also driving to Tiruvannamalai in the weekend. If needed, we can plan to meet up next week some time.

Get a wrap, don't paint it. The wrap will be easily reversible and will not spoil the paint underneath. Can you give some details on the wrap with warranty?

I've seen pictures of many cars on the net which have been wrapped, and they sure looked quite good. I don't think it will fade too easily.

It is not as bad as being told by people, I am owning a Punto for the last 6 months and have done 9k kms, never had any problems with the speed breakers. 4 times the engine guard scraped the ground on real bad roads. The ground clearance is much better than OHC, so if you comfortable with your OHC then you will be comfortable with Punto.

Re: Fiat Grande Punto : Test Drive & Review

I test drove a 1.2 Punto and there were 4 adults in the car, went over a pretty decent sized hump and there was no scraping, so I guess it can't be too bad

The numbers speak for itself !

Ground Clearance of Honda City & Fiat Grande Punto:
OHC: 160mm
ANHC: 160mm

Fiat GP 1.3 Multijet Diesel: 171mm
Fiat GP 1.4 FIRE Petrol: 174mm

Guys, are the accessories like aluminium pedals, rear spoiler, side step etc. available for the Punto 90HP? Read reports of these accessories when the Punto Sport was to be launched. Later fiat called it Punto 90HP If I'm not wrong.

The Punto's nose is pretty low and that's why it scrapes most of the times

Re: Fiat Grande Punto : Test Drive & Review

Completely agree to that Neonwheels !

Thanks to FIAT for providing the Engine Gaurd. The lower part of the front bumper ofcourse takes a hit if a hump/ramp or a ditch is not tackled slowly.

Not really sir. If one is careful, you dont scrap the front. But if one is fast then the scrape occurs!!

I think all TD cars normally tend to be E.Pack versions which have a little bit better clearance due to the 195/60/R15 tires. Are your friends talking about the lower variants? For eg: my friend's MJD Emotion did scrape the speed-breaker near my home with just the two of us in it, whereas my MJD 90HP has never scraped that speed-breaker even with 5 adults on board.

My friend's medium grey MJD 90HP is being delivered tomorrow. He chose it over the Honda City (of which he was/is a big fan) and i20.
