The main problem with this type of steering is that we don't know how to take it out from the rod. Actually its the horn button which is the culprit. There is a small hole in it but how to remove it so that we can separate the steering. I lost one such immaculate one just because of this. I hope Funkykar remembers it. If anyone has succeeded in this then please share with us.

Inspired by many of FCB cars, another member Ravi Ramesh too is restoraing his Fiat. Here are some pictures. Quality is not that good as it was taken using a mobile phone. Car is being restored in Mysore.

Here is a very old PAL brochure that Ravi Ramesh has. By the way, his car would be ready just in time for the next rally (Monsoon drive).

@ Sagar: Yes, I do know about the horn button issue of S1. I have 3 sets with busted horn buttons.

Hi guys,

Mr.Ravi of our club had a small accident in his garage in Mysore. While reversing his finished (After Tinkering & Painting) car out of the Garage, he hit a 2.5' high Milestone ! This mishap damage his bumper and rear portion. I have asked for pictures. He is sad right now, but his car will be out on road by 14th, Monday.

Regards

His car seems in healthy condition. Why did he took up the restoration work on his car when its in such good condition. Or was there any trouble involved which made him restore his fiat.

Yes, Ravi's car was already in excellent condition. He wanted it to make it look better and ensure even the smallest rusts were removed, just to keep the car chugging for decades to come by.

EDIT: By the way, its just not Ravi. Many more FCB'ians want to do up their car. For many, the interest in maintaining and owning this car has rejuvenated in the past couple of rallys. FCB fells very very happy about this.

Thats a very good news to hear. May the tribe of we fiatians increase in large numbers. And FCB is doing a commendable job in helping the owners to retain their passion. Keep up the good work guys.

Hey the car's looking superb with the two foglights.

But please remove the side stickers - they take away from the period looks of the car.. Don't mind, just my humble opinion !

I agree SuperSelect. The car would become 100% stock[Rally.co.in, Ralli Art stickers and Delight grill will be removed] after a few months. For now, I am just living my dream of a rally car
