re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

This is dramatic footage of a car hitting the divider (?) and flying in the air and into a petrol bunk. As per reports 2 people were injured. It happened near Raipipla a few days ago.

News report from Cartoq: https://www.cartoq.com/car-hits-divider-flies-air/

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

Car at high speed trying to avoid collision but ended up flying due to another surprise of a small wall. I'm not sure whether he tried to enter the bunk to avoid collision or just tried to circumnavigate the car.

Just want to know from SMEs provided the car is in excellent condition, let's say a Linea, are there any chances to bring the car to a standstill by applying brakes and engine braking.

Looks like a classic case of "I will go through, that car will surely stop after seeing me" while the other driver is thinking, "It's an Innova, it's not going to reach here that fast."

In an ideal world, the car / van going straight should be much slower given its size and laws of motion. He would hava had a better chance if he applied the brakes. Probably applied the horn instead.

The car that is turning should have waited. He is already opting for a gas station on other side of the road, what's the hurry!

And most likely, that break in the median is illegal, made by the pump owner.

There are countless fatal accidents that happen right in front of petrol pumps, one of the reasons why there are no turns allowed in front of it, at least on NHAI roads.

Saw this early morning today at Kommady Junction (Alappuzha, KL) while I was driving to Cochin. No idea of how it happened - looks like a head-on collision and the Swift turned around in the impact of the hit. It has been raining buffaloes all night and visibility really low on the roads, not to mention reduced grip/braking on wet roads.

Car on the wrong side crashes into Petrol Bunk at Rajpipla - This headline is confusing or I'm wrong. Both the Cars are on right side. One is over speeding and the other is in a hurry to take a right turn.

@shubhodeepdas@g - Yes, you're right. Many drivers in India, reach horn before brake. It should be vice versa.

This vehicle was registered in 2011, Hyderabad was also part of Andhra Pradesh back then, Telangana happened during June 2013. Many such vehicles registered in other Districts AP 07 (Guntur), AP 16 (Vijayawada), AP 21 (Kurnool), etc ply in Hyderabad as the owners reside here. Some of the owners moved to Hyderabad later while some got the registrations done in other districts. This is done either to get a good discount or choice of colour/ preferred number as it is expensive in Hyderabad.

Apparently, the passengers of the vehicle were all working at a Hospital in Hyderabad. It looks like a group of friends in two separate cars had gone to Nagarjuna Sagar and this happened on the way back.

O my God, same question, where is the car? A force large enough to decimate a car of that size has not won the battle with the tree. I hope there was no one in that car. No matter if that car is star rated or not, such force would leave no chance of survival.
