I think the right tyres must have lost traction for the brief time they were on the edge of the road edge + the slush next to it. That and then panic braking and aggressive steering input. This could have gotten way worse.

Could it be a case of bullying/road rage? I've seen many car drivers doing these tactics on smaller, slow moving vehicles on undivided roads to give them a scare (cutting into their lane abruptly right after an overtake). Old, battered M800s and Altos are easy targets.

At ~0:26 it's clear that neither the biker nor the Scorpio were close enough (or in the Brezza's way) to call for such a sharp steering input.

He could have completed the overtake (and made it to the Bad Drivers thread) if not for that sudden steering input. But he chose to overturn and get featured here.

Another one from Hyderabad, happened near Tank Bund. The motorcyclist must be pea-brained for doing that.

I fail to see how people are turning so dumb these days? The least they could do is care about their own lives!

Idiots outnumber the sane people by a massive majority and you can witness the same when you travel any part of this country. So, people ain't turning dumb, they are dumb.

They neither care about their life nor others. Even a street dog crosses the road with utmost care and these lowlifes are a public hazard.

Also, the two bikes that collided with the crossing bike were speeding and they could have avoided hitting had they were under control.

One can go at any speed provided they are prepared to handle any unforeseen circumstances like this.

Notable that the actual initial collision is between two bikes, one of which is doing a crazy crossing, and the other is doing a crazy overtake.

Feel very sad for the passengers of the auto.

In fact, the auto was positioned in a manner that it would be hit by another vechicle. I see it as the fault of the driver of the auto.

Majority of times, they escape by a whisker after doing such dangerous twists and turns and think they are smart.
And once it happens, innocent lives are lost. Feel really sorry for the passengers :(

Local news initially reported as usual, 'Overspeeding bus hits auto' God knows when this mob mentality change.
Luckily CCTV's are saving those 'big vehicle' drivers.

Really don't know which of the three one should pin the blame on. Crossing a road immediately after a bend is a disasterous decision. Overtaking on a left bend is a bigger challenge which most people ignore.

I would not be so quick to blame only the Auto driver. I have driven with enough elderly folks in the car to know that they almost always suggest that "the easy 10 meter wrong way" is the quickest way. Their thinking comes from a time when vehicles were much lesser and traffic rules literally did not exist.

I agree on the elderly point but the control is with autodriver, isn't it?
Be it any commute vehicle- The passenger may say anything but it's the driver who has to decide based on the scenerio.

If I were after blaming, I'd point it mostly to the moron who decided to take a perpendicular path without a bit of heed to the fast moving traffic.

Well, the times have changed a lot now and irrespective of their age they need to abide by the law and there's no special exclusion provisioned for them.

All news papers including social media are reporting that Bus was overspeeding.
Maybe it is true, but i feel it is Auto driver's fault. Rest in peace.

To avoid a U turn and some time, easy path took innocent lives. Three ladies who passed away were returning from Church on their mothers death anniversary. RIP.

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

HI
but here Bus driver is also Clearly at fault.

1. The Bus speed is not great, and at such speeds All Buses even when loaded with passengers can JAM their wheels on application of Brakes almost instantly. The driver was clearly distracted due to chatting with some one in Bus or Mobile or was sleeping literally

2. Even on hitting rickshaw there is NO sign of application of Brakes and instead Bus keeps veering uncontrollably towards left and stops only on hitting adjacent Shops !! This again shows grave negligence on part of Bus Driver

re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

Accident involving a traffic cop and bus at Chandigarh.
I don't know why cops end up manually controlling busy traffic junctions by standing right in the middle of it. Traffic lights are such an easy solution.
In this case there was apparently some vip movement that warranted more traffic control.
The bus driver has completely missed seeing the cop (was he distracted or was the cop in a blind spot?).
The cop was admitted with non critical injuries and is out of danger as per the news report.
Also don't miss the car behind the bus that almost rear-ended the bus. There is no lane discipline too.
