Karma - Netflix - 4/5

This South Korean thriller mini-series (available in English) is quite enjoyable and perfect for a quick binge, with just six episodes. It blends drama, mystery, and suspense in a gripping way. The unfolding of the actual 'karma' throughout the story is particularly well done. The narrative is engaging and keeps you curious with each twist—even if a few are a bit predictable.

While some episodes feel slightly slow, the overall pacing works well and keeps the series entertaining.

This is a unique thriller which is predominantly a revenge theme and is an Austrian series. The standout feature is the beautiful Alps mountains and the Ducati the main pratognists rides (I don't think she rides it in real but, is shown as if she is riding) on the curvy roads of Alps.

It's short at 6-episodes and has a gripping storyline, amazing acting by the lead actress (who is pretty as well which is a cherry on top of cake).

It's hard not to like this one as it has everything- Suspense, Beautiful Scenery, Good storyline and most importantly a DUCATI in the frame most of the times.
Woman of Dead (Season 2)

OTT : Netflix

4/5

This new season dropped recently and I watched it in a few days. Absolutely wonderful thriller and I liked it better than S1 as the story continues to be taut, thrilling with lot of twists and turns.

Main lead (lady) is amazing and has a strong will and character.

Same beautiful Austrian Alps location and interesting premise makes this a breeze to watch for thriller lovers.

Are these two seasons independent storylines? Or does S2 end on a cliffhanger?

The 3rd episode is out as well and equally interesting. I hate it when there is a break in the continuation and have to wait for the next episode to be out to again continue the story. Why cant the producers release all the episodes at once?

Too much profanities in this web series, can't watch with the family.

It is important to see S1 as the story is a continuation and it is not independent.

It is nothing but, a cheap trick to add new subscribers. I used to have Paramount + with many other OTT subscriptions and was paying through my nose. Recently, I rationalized my OTT subscription and knocked out Paramount+

I can see episodes with a 7-day trial and then cancel it in a week. But,by dropping episodes once a week they ensure you get hooked to paying the monthly subscription.

Nope, I ain't fallin' for it.

Khauf - 4/5

Loved it! Binged it this weekend. Great script. I started it for Rajat Kapoor and the Lapata Ladies actress but all of them acted really well.

Those horror/ flashback/ dream sequences have been really well put together. After Tumbbad, this is something I enjoyed in the horror genre.

Firstly, I see so many Hindi series/movies listed here that I'm not even aware about it. I get to know about it first time on this thread.

Secondly, Being a thriller and horror fan, I started this series yesterday and saw just one episode and I was blown away by the quality of the production, acting and setting. This is true horror series and not some half baked effort by many who add weird background scores and scary looking people to scare you which is never successful.

My wife is hates such horror series/movies and she ran away after just a few mins into the series that tells me this is worth pursuing for rest of the episodes.

4/5 (Just from watching EP 1)

Lapata Ladies or Jamtara? The lead actress looks like she was in Jamtara?

I loved Tumbbad. The trailer (plus recommendations here), gives me hope. Added to my shortlist. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. I have added this in my watchlist.

Been watching Betaal on Netflix

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10651790/

I really like the premise of the show and wish the narration could have been better. But almost all characters are annoying and it is a major drag on the show.

But still a timepass watch for horror fans.

KHAUF Amazon Prime

As mentioned above, Khauf is a good watch. The storyline has a take on patriarchy and abuse and many social evils have been touched upon while keeping the horror and thrill element intact. Monica Panwar has a tailor made role for her and she has excelled in that. Supporting cast including Rajat Kapoor and Shilpa Shukla is wonderful as well. If one can ignore some obvious flaws in the narrative, the series is good for binge watching. Could have been two episodes shorter and that would have made this series even more impactful is what I think.

Rating: 3.5/5

P.S- @Dry_Ice- Monica Panwar is indeed from Jamtara and not Lapata Ladies.

Bosch Legacy
OTT : Amazon Prime
4.5/5

Any fans of Harry Bosch here? I'm a massive fan of this character and the series and is part of my list of Top 10 greatest series on OTT.

This new season dropped a few weeks ago and we slowly went though all the eipisodes. Bosch is no longer a LAPD cop but, is not a PI. Even in this guise, he is as good as a cop and the series continues with its legacy of showing parallel investigations and how they converge to make sense in an almost perfect manner.

Gripping, Thrilling, Suspenseful. Cop Investigation drama at it's best.

Me too

On the third episode. He’s doing very well as Bosch and the best part for me is no season has been a let down. Unfortunately this is the last season.

Cheers

Yup. He is better than a cop even as a Private Investigator.

Every episode, every season has been a wonderful experience. I do miss his ol' partner though.

My only gripe is the original soundtrack. I don't like this one. I loved the original one and even listen to it in my car.

Last of Us: Season 2 on JioStar
Rating: 4.5/5

Joel and Ellie return in season 2 of the fantastic HBO series. Perdo Pascal is everywhere these days and he is fabulous. I would have loved more of him in the first two episodes but nevertheless he packs a punch. Bella Ramsey as Ellie is good but at times gets on your nerves.

I haven't played the game so not sure how accurate it is to the source material, but as a stand alone show, it is excellent. Love how this zombie show isn't about gore/ jump scares and other such trite methods (at least s01 wasn't. S02 so far is defying that).

Highly recommended and eagerly awaiting episode 3.
