Heavy rains and Hailstorms there? We had them in Guwahati last week, after which rain god has taken a small break. Hoping for a good monsoon this year in this part of the country.

Apparently rained a little in some parts of the city today.

No. It did not rain around bannerghatta road, where I stay. There were furious winds and a perceptible drop in temperature, but no rain at all.

Rained, rather drizzled a bit late afternnon around the Marathahalli/Doddanekundi area, but not a drop around BSK where I live either.

Respite from scorching heat for Jaipur. It's always a such a pleasure to drive in the rain.
Here is my Dzire enjoying the drizzle.

Hyderabad witnessed an onslaught last night. I've never experienced anything like this before. Heavy rain with storms with continuous lightning like a crazy flickering bulb. I got scared out of my skin.

Yup, what a downpour with crazy winds and non-stop lightning... no thunderstorms though, surprising...

Man I missed it. I was so dead tired that I slept through all this.

Today morning everywhere in the City there are broken trees, water puddles, Sand banks in the middle of the road.

Recent spate of rains have made the city trees green again

Even though we would appreciate being cooled down, after December I don't think that anybody in Chennai is going to ask for rain ever again!

The non-stop lightning, coupled with the faint continuous rumbling thunder in the background is what kept me awake. For me the scene was straight out of a hollywood movie.

A well deserved downpour nonetheless.

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

Awesome rains for at least 30 minutes in East Bangalore areas. Much needed break from hot summer.

Bangalore, back in form to rain at 4 pm

Heavy rains in the last 1+ hour - much needed respite from the near 40 C heat in the last few days
