Found a very funny quote from someone on FB on the IPL series. Couldn't help sharing it here.

"There's this product called 'IPL' where they show Cricket in between commercials ! "

How true?! LOL. I think IPL is hitting rock bottom. Wouldn't be surprised if this is the last season aired on tv.

Im wondering what was Ponting thinking when he asked Munaf to bowl the last over . Mitchell Johnson had 1 over left. He had bowled 3 for 15 and getting good swing. Munaf was just hammered for 17 in previous over.

Munaf ended up giving 16 in last over and proved fatal in the end result.

I think Oram will make way for Malinga and Mitchell will retain his place. That young kid will continue as the 3rd seamer - and why are Munaf and Harbhajan still playing ?

I think MI should have Pollard batting at No 4 in every match..instead of India's best talent coming in at that spot and giving us a glimpse into his talent.

According to me the batting order should be -

Ponting (can't help it , he is the captain)
Sachin
Rayadu
Pollard
Kartik
Rohit
Surya
Johnson
Malinga
Ojha
Bumrah

Mr talent himself can have a bowl for a couple of overs as the 2nd spinner.

Not quite agree there ,yesterday's match was true example of what ipl is all about ,lost interest until dinesh karthik turned it around for mumbai ,followed it all the way to the last ball

2 days back all i was doing is listen to arnab 'gas'wami on times now

Yeah the 'jumping jhapaak' by end of the ipl will chew my brains off for sure

I don't know what you guys think, but it is a shame on PWI management that they made Angelo Mathews the captain ahead of Yuvi. As I type, Yuvi got out, but no way I can accept an overrated Lankan ahead of Yuvi. Shame indeed on Pune. I WIll support all teams against Pune.

Who knows , maybe Yuvraj himself declined the captaincy ??

More than the captaincy issue, I'm surprised Rahul is still playing after the drug bust controversy. Seems like BCCI has totally ignored the issue.

I too was thinking the same about rahul Sharma, either he is totally clean which we can know only after a trial or he has good connections. Remember, he played for India too after this.
About captaincy, even if Yuvi refused, no way Angelo. There are much better candidates.

Harsha Bhogle mentioned that Yuvi had declined the offer for captaincy. Im surprised PWI lost yesterday , they have such a strong side on paper. They should drop Ross Taylor ( who can hit only one shot- towards midwicket) and pick Luke Wright/ Steve Smith.

I've completely lost interest in IPL and cricket as such after that first season though.

Still can't forget "mala bhi all access pahije" people and ofcourse the famous "pomfret" fry and SCF.

The best part was all the crates we used to load up in our cars after each match and seeing the final match sitting just behind the boundary with a cold beverage in our hands.
