Re: Do you play the stock market

1. Can anyone please explain what is the justification for the stock prices of Titan, Dixon and DMart? Is it just the good story market participants have been sold into or is there any substance?

2. Anyone following the AMC, GME saga? The AMC CEO has been dumping stock like there is no tomorrow... which might be true. Thoughts?

Thanks.

I highly doubt it. Paytm has been burning lot of VC funded cash. Still are. I don't think they have the revenue to sustain their operations.

That's just a clever take on what PayTM CEO said.

My funds are stuck. Debited from ICICI but not credited to Zerodha. But there will be opportunity tomorrow also I guess.

Try GooglePay. The funds get transferred immediately.

Zerodha was facing glitches towards the afternoon, probably as a result of several users trying to load funds.

I believe debited funds would be reflected by tomorrow.

Considering the selloff we're seeing, there may yet be a few 'shopping' days ahead.

I use UPI. This has never happened before. As Coyote mentioned above, looks like they couldn't take the load today.

Re: Do you play the stock market

The fund transfer was not working from around 11 to 2:30 PM. Got alright by 2:30. I did a small transfer from ICICI upi at 2:28.

Re: Do you play the stock market

Noob question: I have companies like

1. Future Enterprises Limited
2. Cox & Kings
3. Reliance Capital

in my portfolio. Added when they were good a long time back on the advice of a stockbroker. Couldn't keep track for a couple of years due to personal issues and now I'm still left with these which seem to be deadweight

Would really appreciate advice from experts like SmartCat and others, if I should still keep these in the portfolio hoping for some miracles in the long term or just sell them off and make my peace with it.

Thanks

I usually move my surplus funds from savings back to liquid funds [LIQUIDBEES] in Zerodha. When situation like today presents itself, you can sell the liquid funds in a blink of an eye to free up funds for fresh stock investments.

Re: Do you play the stock market

Just like climate change, Market these days behaves violently. It feels like the frequency of extreme events has increased.

Would like to get opinion from forum members that under these turbulent waters, what type of asset allocation would be a good strategy ?

I am thinking of these levels (equity:debt/cash)

1. If market is overbought : 50:50
2. If it is oversold: 70:30
3. Extreme correction: 90:10
4. Extreme overshoot(bubble): 20:80

What do you guys prefer.

PS: I kept Gold and real estate out of equation as they cannot be timed to hedge stock market fluctuations.
