But the movie was good and the concept of time machine was used very nicely. And as usual Hugh Jackman looks good and meg ryan getting older.

Its very good. worth a watch. new ways of defining death. a couple of deaths are repeated from the previous series, but some are very innovative deaths. the sequence at speedway stands out and so does the one in multiplex(the escalator scene).

A definite one time watch. Just for the thrills.

Saw Inglorious Basterds last week. Movie's still running to packed houses.

Quentin Tarantino's take on WWII in an alternate universe.

Brad Pitt's done a great job with his thick Tennessee and Ayetalian accents.

Diane Krueger (short role) and Christopher Waltz shine through their roles as a double agent and SS Detective, respectively.

Great if you want to watch a gory WWII movie. Gore levels are lesser than Kill Bill Volume 1.


Also watched Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers (screenplay by Quentin Tarantino explains the gore in it), on DVD after a long time. Interestingly violent. Tommy Lee Jones is hilarious as a redneck prison warden.

The gore factor is more compared to other parts. Say 15% in 2d and 25% in 3d.

the reason being, more cgi used to show body parts being churned, damaged, cut and what not. The effect is more glorified watching in 3d as more detail is shown. Some pointers - girl churned in escalator, a cylinder in a guy that goes from front of body to the back among others.

Go figure!!

Watched few movies last week.

1.Body of Lies.....3.5/5.Russel Crowe is simply superb.

2.The Damn United...4.5/5.A very entertaining movie and lead actor has done some good work with his Yorkshire accent.

3.Kiss the Girls....3/5 Just a one man show by Morgan Freeman.

4.The Green Mile...4.5/5 Quite a few stunning performances including Tom Hanks.

Watched- 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past' yesterday night.
Nice light hearted movie.
Its a story of a casanova photographer who is haunted by the ghosts of his past gf's so that he can get back to being a decent man.
Good timepass.

100 Girls

A guy has an intimate encounter with a girl in a lift during a power failure, and realizes that they have a special chemistry and she's the one for him. However, he doesnt know who she is, and he has to find ways to locate her among a hostel full of girls. Movie deals with his attempts at doing so, at the cost of not losing her.

Just about watchable, but definitely not to be watched with family.

Adam Sandler and Drew Barymore 10 years ago! Its a 1998 film. Drew is sweet and Adam looks way different.

Adam is the wedding singer who fails in love for a waitress who is gonna be married soon to a rich boy friend. Its a nice romantic movie with some fun added to it.

Death Proof

Man, this movie is crazy.. really crazy!

Kurt Russel drives a Death Proof car, and goes about trying to kill damsels on cars. He suceeds till he meets his match.

Usual Tarantino style, the movie is high on the F factor, with characters and switching of action which sometimes leaves me wondering what on earth is happening. Seriously!

A big thumbs up for the car sequences towards the end of the movie.

Curses galore through the movie, so may not be intended for viewing with family.

Anybody remember the crazy movie called Borat? Its creater Sacha Baron Cohen's latest installment is called Bruno
Bruno (2009)

Bruno is a designer from Venice, trying to make it in the big bad world of Hollywood, LA. The vulgarities and attack on the senses is unabated, as in Borat. Borat was different because it was a kind of first. Bruno doesnt work because it is more of the same stuff. If you liked Borat, you probably will not like this because such movies need to take the attack to the next level with next installment. Bruno does not. If you didnt like Borat, then you will obviously not like Bruno either. If you have not seen or heard anything about Borat, then watch Bruno and see how many minutes into the movie you can last, before you switch it off and gouge your eyes out!!!
The movie does expose certain hypocrisies in US and makes fun of celebrities. But you will have to keep all sense of your dignity and sanity aside to see the fun in that!!

Finally I readied myself for the Saw series and watched the first installment this afternoon. Agreed that the screenplay is intelligent but the blood and gore is too much for me. I am giving second thoughts for the remaining parts.

Just finished watching Wanted on HBO. Boy am i glad the only thing i wasted on this movie was time! And that too while multitasking.
They should have taken Rajnikanth for this movie. Atleast he would have added humor to the equation. Seeing a bullet go in a circle was just wayyyyy too much over the top!
