Re: Which watch do you own?

Somehow the Casio Oak dies not really excite me, but I do understand the reason for its popularity among watch enthusiasts. Certainly a well made watch.

Love G Shock but my favourite is the square G 5600 which I personally own, and it's myriad variants. As classic a G Shock as can be, plus it fits like a dream on my wrist. Its my daily beater and gym watch. 3years and performing absolutely flawlessly.

Thanks a lot sir. This fits perfectly on my thin wrist and it was impromptu decision to buy it simply looking at photos shared here.

You have amazing collection and I am completely floored by it.

Bingo! I quite like Japanese for reliability and peace of mind they offer. Seiko is next on my radar

Re: Which watch do you own?

Well, for the 1st time I took lume shots of my watches. Still to come G-shock lume pics.

Top: the watch box with the "stash" in it, in the same order as in the photo uploaded earlier, the Seamaster stands out clearly followed by the Citizen divers timepieces.

Bottom: The awesome Citizen Orca

Re: Which watch do you own?

Here's the Casio G-shock lume pic with the Citizen Orca (1st from left) for comparison. The Mudmaster, 2nd from right, has lumed Arabic numerals.

Cheers!

Re: Which watch do you own?

Joining the G-Shock bandwagon finally. Wife found the GA-2110 in stock luckily and I got a nice surprise.

Coming to the watch, it’s my first G-Shock and it doesn’t feel like one. Very compact and lightweight on hands. I love the green hues it shows.

Lovely collection! Looks like you use them regularly as well. What Patek is that? Looks like one of their calendar series, but I'm not too familiar with the brand past the ever-popular Nautilus and the Gondolos.

Thanks. I wear them regularly. If not worn they are in the automatic watch winder to maintain the time. Please see attached for more info regarding Patek.

Lovely watches. My paternal grandfather had a hand wound/manual Patek Phillipe and it lasted him a long time - from the day he purchased it in his early 30s till he was well into his 80s, about 50 years. In those days watch service stations were few and far between and this watch was serviced just once in those 5 decades. He stopped wearing it after using the manual winder became a problem due to his advancing age. I really wish I knew where it went after he passed away.

Re: Which watch do you own?

This is a a very interesting list of the the Top 50 Watches of all time by Gear Patrol.

While I did think a Rolex would top the list, I was kind of hoping for something unique.

Glad to see a Casio Calculator watch in the list!

Re: Which watch do you own?

I’d love to hear what the gurus here think of Oris as a brand. Is it well regarded among watch affectionados?
The new watch itch had started again about a year after I bought my last, and I cannot keep myself looking at and trying out watches around the 1 lac mark. And the huge discounts going now aren’t helping..
I know Oris is more famous for their pilots and divers, and I especially like the big crown in bronze.
But what about their Artix racing chronograph?

I like Oris a lot. They have a very nice range of watches. I have one, automatic They are very smart looking watches, very well made, with high precision movement.
