Re: The Cricket Thread

Its been a terrific Test so far and India have been the better side by a huge margin. We have had the worst of the conditions to bat and bowl but the side had come up well.

Hoping for a great end today. Keep your fingers crossed, there is still some match left in this one. Need a big push from our bowlers.

No surprise, I love these Test Matches.

Meanwhile, in SL, Hashim made a very bold declaration and looked to be backfiring, but Steyn and Co. absolutely bombed the Lankans. Great game there as well.

It's our match to lose now. With the way pitch is behaving we should get them out under 200. All in all a brilliant match after the boring first one.

Re: The Cricket Thread

I fear a draw here today. We have been unable to finish off overseas tests recently in SA & NZ. And the English tail is wagging !

Hope the weather stays good.

Re: The Cricket Thread

Is this going to be a statistical "record" if England were to win ? They need 319 to win which is exactly the same as their first innings total. Wondering if such a test win has already been registered.
*Still rooting for India to win!

It's started drizzling, though not heavy enough to stop play !

Not really. He has been in sizzling form recently but he has also got some good deliveries!

England aren't playing their best cricket. They haven't won anything in their last 9 games. English tail has wagged, so has ours!

I really do not know what Binny is doing in the team. Dhoni doesn't even have confidence to give him the ball then why have him in the team at all since he's supposed to be an all-rounder!

146 more to get. Need 2 wickets early after lunch. This is one helluva interesting match with no clear winner till now. If only we had Aaron instead of binny the free loader this match would be so easy for us.

Got more than what you wanted. Just the last wicket remaining.

Nearly there! Last wicket remains.
It is heartening to see Indian bowlers using the short ball so effectively!

The way so called "tailenders" are batting in this series, it might well be the toughest wicket to get

Ishant vs Bhuvi for the man of the match. I believe without bhuvi's runs we would not have won not to forget his 6 wickets in the first innings. I think he should get the MOM. But none the less an excellent performance by Ishant.

Best test win for us in years.. Memorable and extra sweet cos we batted first on a green top and everyone wrote India off.. Brilliant bowling by Ishant. Loved it.

Re: The Cricket Thread

It was good to see Ishant bowl his heart out and get rewarded with 7 wickets - he really bent his back to bowl some short balls

He finally used his bowling to do the talking after a lot of failures trying to use his lanky frame, hairdo, staring at batsmen, etc to give a false feeling of being a menacing, aggressive bowler
