We will miss you Dada!

Hi Sourav,
We salute your illustrious & fabulous International Cricket career!
It was a great pleasure to watch you bat, especially those elegant square-cuts and square-drives!

You were a inspiring Captain who encouraged the youngsters to play at their optimum!
And you got results too!
You were the most successful Captain in Indian cricket!

Finally, we salute your grit and determination!
Though the entire cricket machinery were against you once, you rose up and gave them a fitting reply with your bat and earned you well deserved place back!

Indian cricket and especially all your fans will sorely miss you!

Wish you all the very Best for the future!

YESSSS!! India win!

Super duper..Take that you Aussies! I wish you get crushed even more brutally by us the next time we tour you.

Like I said earlier, all I wanted was for India to crush Australia in this match.. and that is what happened!

Congrats to Dada..Sorry to see he got out for a golden duck! But anyways, lets see who repaces him now.

Finally the day has come to bid goodbye to one of the finest cricketers this country has seen. Dada revolutionized the way cricket was played in India in modern times. And I salute him for he was the best captain we have ever had. He probably also made the best comeback by any cricketer till date after all that he went through. To come out on top like that is a remarkable achievement.

Dada, I will surely miss watching you bat. All those booming 6's, those glorious cover drives....

Three cheers to Dada, hip hip hurray! Hip hip hurray! Hip hip hurray!

In the afternoon, the Australians were full of fight. After tea, they came perilously close to throwing in the towel. Krejza kept taking wickets and Watson was finally recalled, but by then, the horse had bolted. The cricketing world will be stunned.

I loved the way the team came back with a bang in the last few overs.
They seemed a little down initially with the dropped catches and the slow over rate etc, but regrouped well after lunch!
Kudos

To me the better team won and the worse team lost.
Peter needs to come out of his mistaken opinion that Australia losing is stunning!

There wasnt even a farewell speech by Dada during the presentation? Or did I miss that, I am sure i didnt, as i made sure i was glued to the tv during the ceremony? Does dada not deserve some credit or appreciation from BCCI for the wonderfull years he has given to the Indian cricket during his captaincy. IMO he was the won who taught our cricket team "the fighting spirit" I will always remeber him as a great captain

Yep, entirely. He had a big impact over the series. No batsman was able to score freely when he was bowling. And that delivery to Ponting in Mohali was something, Ponting will have nightmares of!!!

Watching NDTV 24x7 right now I cant help but feel how uncharitable we are to the series losers - the girl from NDTV was giggling when Ponting mentioned how they were leaving with their tails tucked between their legs, and all the gloating on TV is really ridiculous.

When will we get over this over-the-top reaction to both wins and losses? Suddenly they make it look like India are the world Test champions when we arent - we've just beaten a team AT HOME!

I am, however, entirely in agreement with all the adulation showered on Saurav Ganguly. Dada is irreplaceable - he changed the face of Indian Cricket.

@ the top three run getters from Inda

Gambhir - 463
Sachin - 396
Laxman - 381
-------

For aussies the top scorer is Hussey with 394 runs. Gambhir and Ishant made the difference with great support from the middle order batsment and spinners
