Where was this guy when India was playing(I mean trying to play) with Australia just day before?

But anyway, good recovery at last.

194 on a bowling wicket was a good total. Aussie procession back to the pavilion had started but rain saved them.

Really? They were maintaining a rate of over 7 runs an over with only 3 wickets lost & you talk about "procession"?

In a D/L situation, they would have had an eye on batting 25 overs with a higher run rate to put India out of its misery that's all. The rain saved our Indian brethren, not the Aussies......

Didn't you know he only surfaces when the situation is conducive to his theories?

EDIT

Yeah, right............and any inspirational reasoning (excuse) about the T20 disaster? Apart from every dog not having it's day so to speak?

Not really. I was away since Thurday (so missed the T20 ) and got back to my seat yesterday. But just I managed to see the start of the Aussie procession (Hopes & Ponting). The way Ishant & Sreeshant were bowling, the match would have got over before Aussies could manage even 100 .

Diabloo - hold your horses man. Its just one innings that the youngsters have performed. They need to do this consistently to be able to cement their places in the side.

Although I am happy that the young team fought well today in batting - now its our turn to bowl - and we have tremendous batsmen to bowl against. All the best.

Chak De India.

Dude - same wicket used today and we made 267 - 4.

Tells you a bit about the world champs, doesn't it ?

In the pitch report today, Akram said that he was surprised that Dhoni chose batting on Sunday, because the pitch assisted seam bowling on that day. Today he said its a good batting track. IMHO, 194 was enough on that day.

Sure it was! Because it was a rain curtailed game & M/s D/L came into play.

And of course, we can continue being hypothetical since the game was abandoned.

When the match was called off, Australia were 45/3 and 96 more runs required from 19 overs. The ball was doing a bit and in the last 2 overs 2 wickets had fallen. Choose your pick.

I know. But he has not played much and if fit, he has to be played so that he can regain the touch.

Actually, 90 required in 18.4............very very do-able by the Aussies

So?

Anyway, there are more India vs Aus matches in this tournament, so let's wait & see - trust me, the young guns will have enough chances, whether they can make use of them is another matter altogether

267 is not a huge total on a batting track. We should never underestimate the opposition and Srilanka plays well against India in whatever clashes we had on a neutral pitch.

Till now the rain hasn't stopped. Looks like we are heading for another "abandoned match."

Yup, and I think it will be better if we can postpone this argument of youngsters vs. seniors at least until the end of this series. We can discuss more about Cricket?

Anyone following the T20 between Eng and NZ? Seems like NZ are down and out already :(
