So what were we discussing? Or does "team" not form a part of cricket

Thats bad for India. Already they lost 1 point on Sunday & today too . More than that what hurts India is their opponents got 2 points each too
Hope this doesn't hurt India in later stages.

If this match is abandaned and suppose if Srilanka beat aussies then it will surely hurt india as we will have 4 points from 2 matches and srilanka 6 points from 2 matches.

Its all over. Match is abandoned. Both teams will share points now. Hope Srilanka does not beat aussies now in their next encounter.

hahaha..that was funny! Good one!

Gambhir & Dhoni did a pretty good job to take India from 83/4 to 267/4.. Classy work! Too bad the game was a washout.

Symonds really hates India and Indian cricketers. Here is his column in Telegraph on his last tour to India - We won't take a backward step | The Daily Telegraph

Dileep Premchandran responded to it here:
Unleashed: Creating a villain

Quote:
Bang in the middle of a heated one-day series last October, Symonds mouthed off about the country and its celebration of an unexpected win in the inaugural T20 World Cup.

Perhaps he was motivated by envy. Perhaps he forgot to engage his brain. Whatever it was, the anger of the crowds was palpable. Some say that the targeting of Symonds with monkey chants was proof of inherent racism. They neglected to mention the adulation that followed the likes of Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden around the country. The reason Symonds was bagged had very little to do with his ancestry and everything to do with the manner in which he had disparaged a young nation still trying to find its niche in the world.
