Re: Servicing Costs of Superbikes / Sportsbikes in India

Guys, Apologies. Small correction is required here.

One component i missed to reduce from the bill is the VAT amount on the PPF that I had got installed at the service center. So the charges for general service comes down by Rs 293.79/-

So my post in the previous page should actually read as below -

Re: Servicing Costs of Superbikes / Sportsbikes in India

Can someone please share what are the service intervals of the CBR650F?

Based on the previous posts, I could infer that the intervals are 1000 km/1 month, 6000 km/6 months, 12000 km/1 year and so on. Is this as per the manual?

Awaiting inputs from the CBR650F owners in the forum - Rachit.K.Dogra, loki, Mashblue, kumar_ranjan and others.

Re: Servicing Costs of Superbikes / Sportsbikes in India

Just did the 2nd service on the zx10. Paid Rs 13,000 for it including brake bleeding, oil change and oil filter+air filter change along with other regular servicing checks and wash.
Kawas are an expensive breed indeed.

18000 for first service!

Thank god I didn't buy the Monster as it was a big stretch on the budget, though wife really liked it. Could have never afforded the maintenance costs after stretching the purchase price already.

18000 including the accessory, accessory fitment, chain maintenance stuff and care kit. Without that its about 9000

What is a care kit? Chain maintenance is part of service and has to be considered as part of the service cost.

Re: Servicing Costs of Superbikes / Sportsbikes in India

The 18000 cost includes the cost of the accessories and accessories fitments and the additional car care or bike care kit.

The actual cost of the service exclude the anadozied billet, bike care kit and the accessories labor cost. Which then comes up to around 8,367 + 13.5%VAT (1,129) = ~9,500.

Totally agree, but 400ml of either fluid sounds like the owner bought the stuff

True. Or the SC just ripped him off. (I hope not).

Re: Servicing Costs of Superbikes / Sportsbikes in India

Benelli bikes might be cheaper to buy, but their service schedule and cost is a freak out.

For instance, the famous TNT 600i bn is the cheapest inline 4 machine to buy but shockingly their service interval is to be done very 4 months or 4,000kms ELSE warranty voids.

The above said condition is just a rip-off and not as per industry standard which was highlighted to DSK Pune but very stubbornly regretted to change.

Cheers,
Amey
