Is the date finalized for 17th?
Because something else has come up on the personal front on the 17th weekend.
Hence if our KAAS visit date is finalized for 17th, I will plan accordingly.

Pune guys : here's the plan

West side folks meet at Chandni Chowk - junction on the Highway (facing towards Satara)
Time : @7.15am
Convoy Departs : @7.30am Sharp

East side folks meetup at Pulgate juncton on Solapur Road, facing towards Swargate.
Time: @7.00am
Depart: @7.15am Sharp.

Both the convoys meet before Khed Shivapur Toll booth @ 8.00am.
Depart: @8.15am Sharp.

Those who miss out/ are late/ are left behind, can always make it to Hotel Mahendra on Satara before 10am. AP will be waiting there for everyone from 9.30am.

@Silverado, you know my start from my place to Mumbai exit is itself a long drive on moon surface. My strategy, leaving on time to meet all @ McD, if delayed then will hunt down Bombay bombers and catch up all by Pune and join you guys, else will reach Satara expecting you to welcome me with a cup of coffee

Today's satellite pic shows that there are heavy clouds over Maharastra and Satara district.

The area we are going to visit is heavy rain area, so be prepared for rain.

As there are no petrol pumps, puncturewalla shop etc after Satara, be prepared for same.

Medical kit should be there with you.

I suggest, have good breakfast at Hotel Mahendra exe itself.

Please avoid fast driving from Satara to Bamnoli and back, the road is narrow, twisty, foggy, rainy, may be potholed.
Expect heavy touristy traffic on that road on sat and sunday.
Shoulders of the road may be muddy, please take care while driving on this road.
Scenic views on this road may distract driver's attention.

Ans yes, don't forget to bring your camera to test your photography skill.



I suggest, please don't enter in the lake-water at Bamnoli and kaas, that may be risky.

Please, don't ignore forest department advise and order, enjoy the nature without leaving your trace at the spot.
